StewartyMac
We're now guaranteed a first time finalist this year. I can see either Barry Hawkins or Ricky Walden making it.
IrishBhoy
We're now guaranteed a first time finalist this year. I can see either Barry Hawkins or Ricky Walden making it. I think Bingham has a real chance. Completely different player the past year.
Bully Wee Villa
Bingham's in the same half as O'Sullivan and Trump so he's got his work cut out. The other half is where you want to be. If Ding recovers he could make it to the Final, otherwise reckon Michael White might prevail.
meanmistermustard
Cant see Bingham getting past both Ronnie and Judd to the final as he disappears for sessions. Should have been out of sight of Davis but is somehow tied at 4-4 - still a long way to go however in their match. I'd go for a semi final line up of O'Sullivan v Trump and Walden v Ding (despite Ding being 6-2 down on King at the moment) with Trump and Ding meeting in the final.
Bully Wee Villa
That'd be a decent Final. Well, better than Dott vs Ebdon anyway...
meanmistermustard
Watching a rectal examination would be as disturbing and excruciating as another Ebdon Dott match (channel 4 are probably screening one soon).
Bully Wee Villa
Poor then from King, playing on when needing five snookers. He's blatantly just trying to slow Ding down. Ebdon-esque. Fotbawmad
A Ding vs Trump final would be the best outcome by this time next week.
Bully Wee Villa
That bloke at the snooker who sits in the same seat every year and wears Man City tops is starting to annoy me. Coventry, not Man City. Article featuring brief interview with him here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/22308478
Jamie_B
Is there not a guy who does the same in a Dundee United shirt? Not seen him this year right enough.
Bully Wee Villa
Looking increasingly like O'Sullivan's going to win it. Boooo.
meanmistermustard
Its getting rediculous now in the Ronnie match.
parsforlife
Very few errors in o'sullvan's game this afternoon, a lot of snooker to be played but in this form few can stop him. Ding also playing well, and the winner of murphy v trump will fancy there chances. Probably o'sullivan tho.
Ludo*1
Trumps well overrated. After having such a high of quality snooker players in the recent past, we're struggling to produce new great players. I think we should enjoy the British dominance while it lasts as I believe it's beginning to escape us.
parsforlife
Trump, on form is brilliant, but he has no idea how to win playing badly , which he often is. Edited April 30, 2013 by parsforlife
Bully Wee Villa
Ding's been utter shite so far this evening.
meanmistermustard
Sorry to go about it but tonight Trump potted an admittedly difficult red but which a lot of the best players will get which Virgo then went way over the top about before stating "Thats Judd Trump!". Do they deliberately make it impossible to listen to? And this coming of the decent commentary on the first O'Sullivan Bingham session by Hendry and Parrott who actually would both shut up for a few shots in a row. Glad Ding is losing, desperately want him out. If Trump goes out i'll be delighted but Murphy has been very average this evening from what ive seen.
Bully Wee Villa
Ding's my favourite player that isn't in semi-retirement (I like Drago the best). Not really sure why I like Ding though... he just seems a nice well-mannered lad. Not like that oik O'Sullivan.
meanmistermustard
I might have liked Ding but the love-in ever since i first saw him makes me despise watching him, same goes for Trump. I know people hate O'Sullivan for the same reasons but ive just never been bothered by him, maybe it helps having read his autobiography. Anyway both are making comebacks, neither of which surprise me. I'll tell you now if its a Trump Ding final i will have lost interest in watching the sessions. I'd rather watch a shitfest than a wankfest. Trump 8-8 at the end of the second session. Bully Wee Villa
King Ding back in it, 9-7 down at the end of the session.
