Last night I checked the BBC website to see who Bonnyrigg would play next and instead of Bonnyrigg Rose/Dumbarton v Hibs it had tbc v Hibs. It actually had tbc as the opposition for the 3 or 4 ties still to be resolved so you had absolutely no idea which of those teams they would be playing. You obviously wouldn't even know who the tbc teams are. Quite unreal.

That kind of thinking just perpetuates the pish on our airwaves. We need to raise standards.
Sadly that's unlikely. It's needs a total change of mindset and culture and that just isn't going to happen.

Covering a Man City game will allow the journos that are only good enough to work for BBC Glasgow to pretend they're one of the big boys for a while though.

That'll be Alex Rae, the Rangers Int supporter and ex-Rangers player.

That'll be Killie's change strip as it was the home side that changed in those days. Am I right in thinking both sides changed when there was a clash in cup ties back then or have I just made that up?
I've always wondered why they changed from the home side wearing their second strip to the away side for strip clashes. For some reason the home side changing seems more appropriate.

I seem to recall someone mentioning about a picture of the temporary stand being used when Celtic Park was being redeveloped. Apologies if this has already been shown.
You should apologise for infesting this magnificent thread with a picture of the bigotfest, Scotland's shame.

I'm being pedantic here(and perhaps whooshed), but who uses those things for point-scoring? EPL fans don't say, "yeah, well at least my team didn't die in a plane in the late fifties" to Man Utd fans.
To save us from really going off on a tangent, my initial comment (I'm sure that's what ICTChris was getting at, too) was that it's utterly abhorrent that some people really think it's acceptable to cite such disgusting events in an attempt to make their team look, in any way, superior to someone else's.
The words may be different but the motive is the same. It's football and sadly absolutely everything is considered fair game no matter how sick it is.

What has been - and will be - worse than using cases of rape and sexual abuse against children just so you can gloat to someone supporting another football team?
Plane crashes, multiple deaths, suicide.

I'm no fan of young Brown and his yes chums but not sure if they're entirely to blame this time. Last thing I read from Swanson was one of those 'I'm very happy here, but...' pieces as he was obviously keeping his options open. It's wasn't very reassuring.

Hugh Keevins says there is no way Albion Rovers ( if they get through ) can host Sellik at Cliftonhill and that they will need to switch Stadiums.
Why ?
Just set the Crowd limit at whatever is safe and get on with it.
You're right of course but then again you're up against the governing power of Scottish football, Old Firm mob rule.

Chick "Hasn't he retired?" Young doing his usual today, describing a mazy dribble past four players and a clipped finish past the keeper as a "tap in" in the Buckie Thistle v Dunfermline game. He was probably raging he was sent to report on a cup game at this early stage.
A team called Buckie that plays in green and white hoops is just made for the bigot promoting snivelling little weegie shit. I expect Celtic got more mentions than either of the participating teams.

I didn't know that. It's a bit ridiculous even for junior level.

I've found that the tables can be different depending on which page you're on which is quite remarkable considering it would obviously be easier to just replicate the same one. I don't suppose whichever Oxbridge intern that set it up would have actually studied anything as lowly as computers though.

This pic of Beith Juniors is on the BBC website. That seems to be one heck of a slope on the pitch going by the enclosures and boundary wall in the background.

I notice this piece of 'news' has barely registered in England where, you know, he actually played for years.
Indeed. Hardly worthy of a mention in the main website but it has to have it's own feature in the
Rangers Int AGM Special website they set upBBC 'Scotland' site.0 -
Tromso it is then. Excellent. TIL.NO both a clue and a red herring apparently.
That original 'wrong' picture is brilliant. It actually features Robbie Winters and Charlie Miller! Next challenge is to establish why Brann were playing a home leg of a UEFA tie about 1200 miles north of their own ground.

He's just lazy and gone for the money. Should've signed for Burnley, Sunderland or West Brom like any footballer with ambition would have done.

I'd wondered about Tromso but didn't think the letter before the O was an S. However given the pic in question is 11 years old and there has been some housing and some seating built behind one goal I'd say Tromso.

I thought it was unusual I don't remember the hills being that close and put it down to the lens. The Forth Valley is completely flat.
Google has it as Brann Bergen v Lokomotiv Moscow in the 2005 UEFA Cup. Brann's stadium is much bigger and not in that style of location though suggesting it's a lower league Norwegian team's ground.
It also as appears a few times as Forthbank!

Do all Italian league games have 5 officials or do some clubs just get treated differently as in Scotland?

What is that picture on the wall?
I'm not subjecting myself to that again but off the top of my head I'd suggest it was probably King Billy on his white horse.

Unfortunately nobody gives a f**k about East Fife v Alloa and the country of their paymasters give us roughly 10% of our population.
Fans of East Fife, Alloa and football followers who aren't totally small minded would give a f**k. The exact kind of people the BBC is supposed to cater for.

Man City used a radical new crowd control technique on Tuesday. When they identified Celtic supporters in the City sections they threw them out. It'll never catch on in Scotland though.
