My accent pings about Scotland sometimes depending on what I'm saying and who I'm speaking to (and in what capacity, I.E professional or personal). My wife tells me I sound like a "Glasgow uni type" because I have the audacity to not speak like a weegie scumbag. I sound a bit north eastern when talking to my dad (my wife subconsciously adopts a sort of old fashioned 1950s Dumbarton accent when speaking to her mum), I sound generic neutral West Coast well spoken Scottish mostly life and particularly when speaking to clients, because despite being born impoverished in Clydebank, my mum believed in standards. I sound a bit more stereotypically "weegie" when with mates or in a pub etc. None of which is conscious, it just comes out. Having lived in Clydebank, Dumbarton, Tain, Milngavie, Bonhill and Jamestown, I have a pretty good knack for picking out the minor differences in accents in otherwise close towns. For example, I can generally tell which side of the county line someone is from in Clydebank, the Glasgow side or the West Dunbartonshire side; Alexandria or Dumbarton etc. Accents in areas definitely change with time. My gran lived in Clydebank for 97 years and didn't sound weegie, she had a traditional Clydebank manner of speaking, though the town nowadays sounds far more glaswegian as the city absorbs it over decades. Likewise younger folks from Dumbarton don't sound too dissimilar to weegie nowadays, but older Dumbarton people have an old Scots, farmery twang. North Eastern accent variations amuse me. My sister moved to Tain aged 16 and was full on "rabber bampers!" within months. The Grampian accents are almost certainly the worst on the ears, or at least in competition with parts of Edinburgh and Fife.

Now that would be a bit silly, wouldn't it? If we all thought and said the same things then there would be no debate, no opposing viewpoints and no fun. If you want to read nothing but the same opinion repeated by all, I'm sure there's a Chinese pie and bovril for you.

I had my fair share of ding dongs with the aforementioned, probably most notably the public forum about stadium relocation at the Abbotsford Hotel, but regardless of the why's and wherefores, it's still sad to see the change in the club's fortunes since then. *That's not to excuse the crimes of the past which still haunt us. I've not changed my opinion and my colours are still proudly tied to my mast.

Just finished watching the latest episode of the rock and goal podcast on YouTube. Excellent as ever. In amongst Jim Chapman's constant self promotion, it was bittersweet to remember how advanced the club infrastructure was 13 or so years ago.

It's based on IQ, so at a generous 54 rating, he's clearly the top dog on there.

2nd home game this week I've skipped, and I'm a season ticket holder and a club sponsor. Fans bickering on here and elsewhere online. There's a great feeling at The Rock.

Club twitter has one change, Wallace up front in place of Russell McLean. The way it's laid out in the tweet suggests Love up top with Wallace, but I'll wait and see on that front.

I'd forgotten about that. Some utter morons on here, man. We've always known throbber was a complete idiot, he almost seems to revel in it. I didn't post on here or even read the site for 4 or 5 years and when I logged back in one day a couple of years ago, he was still exactly the same. I've no idea who detournement is as he seems to have appeared while I had gotten bored of the forums, though others on here have said he's the Falkirk poster HB in a new guise, but his weird pro-russia, "cheap gas is more important than human lives", it's all Ukraine/NATO/America's fault, all Ukrainians are nazis shtick is truly distasteful and I suspect shows someone who isn't a very nice chap even offline. Viking ton is definitely a clever lad, his tired "be very specific"/argue incessantly on any point/childish condescension routine that he's been doing for about 15 years excepted, but some of his comments about how there's no proof of civilians being murdered etc really haven't aged well. And given how the Russian armed forces have behaved in every conflict they've been involved in, it's an odd standpoint to assume they'd never have been guilty of this. Frankly, it'd be a safe bet to assume war crimes before any proof had even come to light. Though there was evidence from the first day anyway... All that being said, though, the "f**k all Russians" patter isn't for me either. People who make sweeping generalisations are literally worse than Hitler.

Actually, as scary as ol' Mrs Sums can seem, I think I know her kryptonite: my then infant son was crawling along her couch towards her, smiling, and she was shrinking further and further against the end of the sofa from him. So if you ever find yourself chained up in her murder dungeon, just pretend to be a baby.

He's posted some right weird stuff over the last year or so. There has been a steady stream of Ukrainian folk calling him out as a fraud for a long time.
