  1. I remember when these two had to withdraw from public life as their grifting was deemed unacceptable - the bottom of the barrel is being scraped.
  2. Jazz started off as dance music and I can still see the attraction of the Benny Goodman/Glenn Miller era stuff then somehow it mutated into wanky self indulgent "head" music John Coltrane/Charlie Parker, even worse though is jazz rock - musicians who have decided that they're too good to play something tuneful.
  3. Have the Tories decided the next GE is already lost and taken the decision to cash in now? They're not even pretending to care any more, why anyone who doesn't earn enough to benefit from the cut to the highest level of taxation would vote for them is beyond me. I genuinely believe Labour can only throw it away now.
  4. Extract from said article.... ....they really just don't understand!
  5. Are we - as has been pointed out (by myself and others) the extra cash didn't materialize for us.
  6. I would expect no less from a distinguished member of the aristocracy!
  7. Except in our case the poisoned atmosphere meant the extra cash turned out to be non-existent.
  8. Irrelevant to us though, it's clearly the case that giving two stands to supports whose attitudes & songbooks are outdated & offensive spoiled the matches from our perspective, resulted in a boycott and so didn't actually generate much, if any, extra revenue M8.
  9. Your post below was in response to @Doctor Sanchez who is a Saints fan so you're clearly not saying what you think you are M8. Don't complain about the dosh your club doesn't have then M8.
  10. Have you read the thread? 265 less fans yesterday than the last time your lot played, that represents over 1300 Saints fans boycotting the Two Stands option, taking into account the money we lost by having to discount the price of STs in the Family Stand and assuming that we will have reduced policing/stewarding costs we'll not be losing much, if any, money. If you're trying to come across as reasonable you're failing badly M8.
  11. So not really any credit to St. Mirren at all then, all down to your manager underestimating us.
  12. Does anyone really need help?
  13. Always read SLs articles - noticed that The Grauniad didn't allow any comments this week....
  14. My first game (as a 5-y-0) - lifted over the turnstyle, absolutely no memories other than the score other than the goal was scored by Hugh GilSHAN. @Arch Stanton Second in the league! St Mirren table(s) on 1968-11-16 (fitbastats.com)
  15. Played God Save The Queen at Ayr Races yesterday - unsure if that was a mistake though. Also the minutes silence was not well observed by the crazy gamblin' fools.
  16. Throw in that we wouldn't have had to discount ST prices for the Family Stand and the cost of the decision will be minimal - once again the fans know more than the blazers.
  17. Dec 21 Celtic get 2 stands - Attendance 6596. Sep 22 Celtic get 1 stand - Attendance 6331. 265 fans - yup it's really bankrupted us. OF - GTF!
  18. If Unionists have any sense they will repeat what they did inn 2014 in any future referendum, stay silent but let "sources close the Queen" note at regular intervals that she was agin it - like I said if Chuck has any sense (and I hope he doesn't) he'll do the same, any public backing of NO will backfire.
  19. Am I the only one who gets a bit peeved at King Chuck being described as a committed environmentalist (TV this morning) - it seems to me he's not committed enough to make any substantial changes to his lifestyle, if he was really committed he could start by foregoing those exemptions to environmental laws his old ma negotiated during her reign. I would hate to think that the sacrifices are going to made mainly by the hoi polloi. Apologies if I've missed this point being raised previously in the thread but I've only dipped in and out.....
  20. Yeah but they shouldn't be forced to do either, I'm not going tomorrow coz we're playing the green half of the cheeks, I wouldn't have broken the minutes silence but I wouldn't have stood up for either or joined in the minutes applause .
  21. I see one Labour MP has broken ranks and said the unsayablle....
  22. ....and the saddest thing is that in a previous millennium I was at the forefront of such knowledge but that, truly, was a thousand years ago. Anyway I have no desire to see us play against either of the cheeks ever again, a pox on both their houses.
