Snide . Gus failed to keep us out of the play off zone last year with a worse record than the sports scientist who had been in charge . He won zero out of eight league matches this season. in fact , in twenty four league matches I charge he won three. So where is the evidence that he would keep us up ?

The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread
standman replied to D'Jaffo's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
To the Ayr fan with the smoke bomb today I’d ask you to think about what you are doing. Cappielow has a wooden stand- had something gone wrong you’d have been putting everyone in danger including your fellow Ayr fans. -
Cheers for that research interesting that Thirds were playing Thistle at new year then it became v QP with Clyde playing Thistle
-
That’s the thing….was Queens Park v Thirds regarded as a derby by both sets of fans or am I assuming it would be due to their proximity. i only really started thinking about this whilst walking past Cathkin on the way to the match last night
-
I have a question about rivalries. Why was Clyde’s derby against Thistle as opposed to Celtic or Queens Park or Third Lanark given the proximity of Shawfield to Celtic Park , Cathkin and Hampden. And was Third Lanark’s derby versus Queen’s Park?

Never saw it myself but I believe it was called 'Whistleblowers' or something like that. Trouble is they still mate a mess of it. Craig Thomson went on it to explain disallowing a late Morton goal at Hamilton by saying he didn’t actually see the handball, he only suspected it. He then went on to say that the linesman couldn’t confirm that it wasn’t handball! So basically a goal chalked off for a handball the officials didn’t see.

Morton vs Accies
standman replied to Laid-back Accie's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
To the Hamilton fan who stormed through the firedoor in the main stand after with such ferocity that it slammed into the wall - you need to get a grip and calm down if you are reading this . Hamilton brought that on themselves with their outrageous time wasting -
Did the official attendance ever get announced ?
-
Totally agreed. I was driving home from Kilmarnock and was frustrated that I couldn’t hear interviews and reaction from around the grounds until after the Celtic chat. The Celtic discussion would have been best kept for a midweek Sportsound

You’d think so but in football even when guys quit sometimes they still get a pay off, crazy as that may seem -
Ayr vs Raith
standman replied to Frankly, Mr Shankly's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Seems crazy this game isn’t tomorrow when there is no clash with the Scotland match and it’s easier to get to after work. Clubs putting the punters last ? -
SPFL Trust Trophy (aka Challenge Cup)
standman replied to Fae_the_'briggs's topic in Domestic Cup Football
For me , the Challenge Cup has always been of lesser importance and that’s reflected in the attendances. The addition of the Colts continues to undermine any importance the SPFL want fans to attach to the trophy . Personally it only really gets interesting if my team gets to the semi finals. If we are knocked out early then I’m not as disappointed as I am being knocked out of the League or Scottish Cup -
Even if there was some crazy council rule about no away fans, there’s no track and trace so they could just buy a ticket eg for Wee Dublin End and sod the council

Off The Ball - Is it good?
standman replied to Buddist Monk's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I agree. I miss the choice of listening that they used to have with maybe the commentary in one frequency and Off The Ball on another -
How many fucking times do we need to say, "NO!"
standman replied to Ric's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
And Celtic’s first contribution to this brave new world is to sign a lad from Watford who is eligible for the Republic of Ireland. They have a cheek to dress it up as good for Scottish football when it isn’t about that at all. The irony of denying a lad coming through the system a place in the Colts team will be lost on them . -
Play Off Final Airdrie Vs Morton
standman replied to cb_diamond's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Morton signed another goalie jn February who injured his ankle in training not long after and has been unable to recover since -
Dundee FC vs Greenock Morten
standman replied to Ludo*1's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Are Dundee making this match available to buy as a one off ? I’m logged in but can’t see how to buy it ? -
I purchased the match programme and I have to say I was very disappointed. I was expecting better . Too many adverts ....six pages are taken up with the players sponsorships for the men, under 18’s and the women. And criminally, no focus on the opposition. And bizarrely there was nothing on the back page !! No ads or content whatsoever.

Were the commentators in a room watching the courage as opposed to being in the stand ? It sounded like they weren’t outside ?

Scottish Football Blooper Reel

Morton had a great team for much of the 70s and 80s. Your out of character comment is accurate though -
