  1. Sporting captain looks about five feet tall.
  2. Froome and Wiggins have always been at loggerheads. Froome has been less than complimentary about Wiggins previously.
  3. I haven't got a Sunday Times account but I do read the paper. He doesn't quite give Wiggins both barrels, but he certainly doesn't let him off the hook. Reading between the lines Brad isn't very well liked by his colleagues, and Walsh hints at Team Sky doctor Richard Freeman being involved. He also states that Wiggins' 2012 Tour De France victory should be marked with an * stating that he had a corticosteroid injection 4 days before the race.
  4. The Samsung adverts where Jack Whitehall patronises various Paralympians. Is there an unfunnier tosser on this planet?
  5. Definitely thought that was over, unlucky Saints. Fancy the Cowboys to beat the Giants now.
  6. Modric the difference, particularly in the first half. Celta giving them problems late on chasing an equaliser.
  7. Real not playing well but still 2-1 up on Celta Vigo.
  8. Any advert where they treat the customer like a fucking moron and for my money car adverts do that every time. Do they really believe that seeing a car drive up will make a whole audience rush out of their seats for a wee shot behind the wheel, fair enough the audience are actually perched hanging over a cliff, but still, f**k off. Do they really believe that schoolkids will be dumbstruck with envy as they drop off their kid at the school gates? Do they really believe that the world will step back and admire as their car glides along an empty street?
  9. The Champ, any version. Up, The Searchers when Ethan says "let's go home debbie" Penny Serenade, Of mice and men.
  10. Talking Radio adverts I remember sometime back every time we switched on Radio Clyde, 20-30 years ago it was the same advert constantly. So much so that Radio Clyde was quickly renamed Radio Cuticura in our house.
  11. Pretty Good day all round last Saturday, had a couple of pints of Deuchars in The Auctioneers then headed out to the Three Judges and Bar Gallus had a gorgeous pint of Ossian in Bar Gallus then on to BrewDog opposite Kelvingrove Art gallery. Had Jet Black Heart in there, along with 5am Saint and some Elvis Juice. From there to The Bothy where they had Schiehallion on draught. Lovely stuff and I am not a lager drinker but that was nice. Oran Mor was next where we hit the hard stuff a coupe of glasses of Cardhu and then we headed back into the Merchant City. BrewDog took another hit with some Hardcore IPA and more Jet Black Heart before heading off to O'Neill's to watch the Scotland game after that things got a bit hazy.
  12. To be clear, this is just us showing him and his friends around the haunts and pubs of Glasgow, this will be reciprocated in a few weeks when we get taken on a pub tour of the Wirral. Shenanigans will be kept for the weekend in Prague in July.
  13. I have never watched any reality TV. I have never tasted carrot cake, and never will.
  14. Orkney Breweries have some decent ales, I like their Corncrake Ale and Northern Light is good as well. My favourite session ale of theirs though has to be Raven Ale, quality.
  15. Thanks for the tips gentlemen, added to the list. Groom is from Liverpool so we are dragging him around Glasgow's watering holes just as a wee welcome to the family.
  16. Heading up to Glasgow this weekend for a stag night. Taking in Oran Mor, the Ubiquitous Chip, Brew Dog, and a few others. The West End festival is on so will take some of that in as well, before finding somewhere to watch France v Scotland.
  17. Watched Spotlight last night, excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it.
  18. The Ladbrokes adverts with a bunch of nondescript chancers they try to pass off as characters. When I was a boy bookies were turf accountants hidden behind blacked out Windows and never advertised. Now Ladbrokes sell gambling as a lifestyle, the "Ladbrokes life". The World is fucked up in my opinion.
  19. Wife has got the online shopping bug and has been ordering DVD's recently. Spotlight and Sicario arrived yesterday. Will probably watch them during the bank holiday weekend. Anyone know if they're any good?
  20. Agreed and I love the way language changes and evolves with every generation. That said I still think anyone who uses "should of" instead of "should have" should have their existence terminated with extreme prejudice.
