  1. Regardless, I think you'll find that he has the main input as to when, and how, the money is repaid.
  2. You really believe that a loan without a specific repayment date, leaves the loanee in charge of paying it back?
  3. That would be about the same time I was haunting the bars of Hamilton. Hanging about with the Stepek brothers Richard and Paul. Great days.
  4. Lol, no that was the Alhambra in Bellshill. The County was round the corner from the Bay Horse, opposite the County Buildings.
  5. The Garrion, ffs that brings back memories I don't want to relive. The Bay Horse, now there was a pub. We would have a few in there before heading to the County and ending up in Sands in Auchingramont Road. Occasionally there would be a student's disco in Bell College and we'd crash that. Woke up quite a few mornings in those student flats.
  6. No, the most common complaint about English bids contain the words "arrogance" and "naive".. England believe that a cup of tea with Prince William and a handshake from David Beckham should seal the deal with their strongest critics. Treating FIFA executives as if they were Daily Mail readers is never a good idea.
  7. I couldn't say for certain, had been making annual trips to Barcelona matches since the late '70s so saw him play a few times in the 80's and saw him at Hampden against Scotland. Unfortunately by the time Messi came on the scene my trips had become seriously curtailed, so I have seen Diego more often than I have seen Messi.
  8. Another one I hadn't tried before. It's from Shepherd Neame and it's their Halloween brew. A rich dark ruby brew there's a really roasted citrus flavour to it, really enjoyable.
  9. Also picked up this one, which looks like it was brewed with the TV series in mind. It's a black IPA which I am not overfond, but this was a wee bit different there are a lot of different flavours going on in there. Very tasty, and I'd get this one again.
  10. Got some beers in for a day watching football. This was amongst them, when I opened it the aroma reminded me of Glayva, fruity with a hint of cinnamon. Consistency apart, it tasted like something you would take from a spoon if you had a sore throat. I am a huge fan of Wychwoods beers, but I have to say this was not what I expect from a beer.
  11. Well done, Caley and condolences Falkirk. A thoroughly enjoyable match.
  12. Warming up nicely in this second half, Falkirk going for it.
  13. It's been a fair enough game, nothing startling, but some decent play although the final ball is somewhat lacking.
  14. The Sky commentator keeps referring to some woman called Sibyl.
  15. Really looking forward to this final, first of three in a row, with the FA cup final straight after this and the Copa Del Rey after that. Not really bothered who wins this but got a sneaky feeling for the Bairns. Hope Villa beat Arsenal, and can't see past Barca later on. Fridge well stocked with beer and a big bag of KP to hand. Bring it on.
  16. US involvement stemmed from their investigation of Chuck Blazer, who rolled over and squealed like a pig.
  17. I havent watched an Olympics or any other athletics event since Seoul. I used to be able to quote all sorts of trivia and records surrounding the Olympics, but got so disillusioned that I simply turned my back on them. I never watched a second of the London Olympics, or the Glasgow Commonwealth games.
  18. If it comes to it, I dint think there will be another bidding process. It will be awarded to a coy try with the necessary infrastructure already in place. As Germany held it recently favourites would probably be England and Spain. You can bet the FA will already be on the case.
