  1. Finished off with McEwans Signature. 5.2abv and bloody good it was too. Can't go wrong with McEwans.
  2. This Edinburgh Castle 80/- ale was another decent brew. Nice and malty, I enjoyed this Caledonian Breweries has always been one of my favourites. Deuchars is brilliant.
  3. Perfect Storm was well named that was as close to perfection as I have tasted in a long while. Really light and refreshing with a definite lemony taste. Excellent.
  4. Up in Scotland this week and trying various craft ales. Had Drygates Gladeye IPA and this was excellent. I followed this with Red Kite Ale from Black Isle Organic. This was a whole lot better than it sounds. I find the word organic very offsetting but this was superb. It's a beer I will definitely be going back to. I am, at the moment, enjoying a bottle of Cairngorm Gold. Superb stuff a kind of lager taste to it but definitely an IPA.
  5. Got a bottle of Stone Enjoy By IPA from my daughter today, this was bottled 30/05/15 and should be drunk by 4th July 2015. A quality brew with a nice citrus kick, 9.4 abv I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
  6. Nothing shocked me more in golf than discovering that the Tit-leist balls I had always used were actually pronounced Title-ist.
  7. If the Ashes is half as good as this ODI series, we are in for a treat. Great stuff.
  8. Wee confession, the bottle of Wainwrights, excellent by the way, in that picture is empty. I had it with my tea.
  9. I have NEVER watched an episode of Top Gear. EVER.
  10. Scrolls to top of page for reminder of beers I still have in fridge.
  11. Saw this in bottle form for the first time. Had it in draught in the New Century in Motherwell. Cannot praise it highly enough.
  12. Started off with the Belhaven, then kicked off the second half with Flying Scotsman. Appropriately we came flying out the blocks in the second half. That'll be my beer of choice for Scotland games from now on.
  13. Nah, I am a happy drunk. Always have been. Crabbit git when I'm sober though.
  14. I have had some Goose Island IPA before and enjoyed it, but this Bonkers IPA was a new one on me. Fairly pleasant with a nice fruity kick. 4.3A/V Had it at the bowling last night in the Dog Bowl in Manchester. Was enjoying a great night when a load of naked people appeared in the street outside. The nude bike ride had stopped at the traffic lights right outside. Too many tadgers not enough tits for my liking.
  15. WTF! I nip out for a few beers and come back to a furious debate about jet engines. You lot must be bored right enough, go on get yourselves outside a decent swally. I am off out to get a few bottles for the match tonight.
  16. Ah well the hell with this, it's a lovely warm evening and there's a few decent bars in Oxford Road. I am off for a beer, or twa.
  17. Paying the man his dues and getting the chairman to beg, through the media, for Ally to cancel the arrangement. That's the right thing?
  18. I don't think so, he still owns the club, just doesn't have a seat on the board.
