  1. Typing them in white font were you? You've got them, well done. ^^^Wishing he'd typed them earlier.
  2. A nice easy one today. In 2017, Fauldhouse were defeated 7-0 at Newtown. There were seven different scorers, can you name them?
  3. Back to Junior Cup action again and this time it's 1984, with Yoker Athletic being the visitors in Round 4. In what was a tight game, the BU's won through by 1-0. The winning team that day was: Kirkwood, Dunleavie, Breen, Robertson, Caldwell (Carroll), Reid, Balanowski (Fairley), Beaton, Sinnet, Shields, Wilson. The goal hero was Tommy Caldwell.
  4. It was a good clue. I wish I'd got clues like that when I was at school
  5. Sorry, he arrived in June 2007. So far, with all the guesses, only one actually played in the game and one other was signed at the time. Clearly, a memorable squad
  6. David retired injured in the January of 2007, so not him.
  7. He had already left at the start of that season but we had signed him from Hill of Beath. He played but was an innocent party! A first team regular that season but missed this game. Two HoB players were also sent off, if that jogs any memories.
  8. I thought that would be a popular choice but Will didn't sign until the season after.
  9. Another wee tester from the not-too-distant past. In 2007 we drew 1-1 at home to Hill of Beath but which BU player got his marching orders?
  10. For today we go back just one year and a Junior Cup 5th Round visit to Kilbirnie Ladeside and the very first competitive match between the clubs. Trips to Ayrshire have been hazardous in the past but the BU's fully merited their 3-0 win. The team was: Murphy, Gibb, Snowdon, Campbell, Hunter (Hoggan), Jacobs, Stevenson, Gemmell, Wright (Millar), MacKenzie (Kelly), Scott. Will Snowdon scored a brace of penalties and Stuart Hunter got the other.
  11. I think the low IQ is proven. John gave a clue of DM and you come up with Hislop. How?
  12. It's a teaser for today in 2002. You've just not sobered up yet And no it's not Dale either.
  13. For a teaser today, we head back to 2002 when we beat Dunbar 3-0 away in the St Michaels Cup. Who scored his very first but certainly not his last BU goal that day?
  14. In 1952, the BU's lined up against Whitburn in the Quarter Final of the St Michaels Cup at neutral Armadale. On a heavy pitch the BU's ran out narrow 2-1 winners. The team lined up: Ronald, Mitchell, Tennant, Hogg, McBlain, Neillands, McKinnon, Liddell, Stewart, Kelly, Bishop. The goals were scored by Stewart & Charles McKinnon. If anyone knows the forename or source of Stewart I'd be most grateful. Quote Edit
  15. It's not the club's fault. The current website just wouldn't support it. Really need a separate, bespoke site but that costs money I don't have.
  16. 1997 now and Bo'ness were challenging at the top. Normally a draw at Newtongrange Star would be considered a good result but on this occasion the 3-3 scoreline was two points dropped. The team was: N Binnie, More, Hallford, Yates, Inglis, Drew, Hodge (Crainie), Scott, Burns, McKinlay, Sludden. The goals came from Jimmy Burns, Kerr More and a Danny Crainie penalty.
  17. Well, I have mentioned Dennistoun Waverley and Dundee Violet (though that was at Dens). You've let slip about Petershill. I think Lanark United's 10,00 in the 1950Junior Cup was a record. The round after Dundee Violet in 1948 drew a record at Lochgelly Albert. Away to Sauchie in 1982 was also a record, I think. There are probably more but I'm not certain.
  18. Yes, he signed from Ashfield in June 1950 and went to Kilsyth a year later, after scoring 18 goals in 43 games.
