  1. Doyley has held out for full-time in the past when there didn't seem to be many such options open to him and he's always ended up with something, e.g. when a club has an emergency (iirc he got a gig at St Johnstone like that). I imagine he's confident something will come up, even if he's signed ostensibly as back up. Given he can cover centre back and his good attitude and fitness I think some full-time sides could do worse.
  2. Indeed, something we probably lacked last season. With Stevie H also signed up looks like we are going to have more physicality, energy and ball winning capability in midfield.
  3. Not sure that'll be good enough, seeing as we have had a run of the best left backs in Europe, which only stopped when we signed Daniel Church.
  4. Yeah, I get that. Dario is Dario. Very inconsistent, but capable of winning matches on his own. I thought he was ideal for us in the Championship. Won us a lot of points. He could hurt defences at that level enough to gain key wins/points for us when it was all about survival. I've not been surprised he's struggled at times with the full-time gigs he's had since then at clubs which have "higher" ambition at Championship level. I do think he's better through the middle though.
  5. I thought there was a chance we might get Kevin O'Hara. Not sure what his options are for a full-time deal, but I think he would complement the strikers we have already.
  6. Just list them all on here, I can't stand the tension!
  7. Done well in league one before. I'd be happy if we signed him.
  8. Excellent! One of my favourite players from the era.
  9. Introducing Punch. Two year old Lakeland Terrier, our first dog as a family as Mrs p and I have retired.
  10. Mystery Song Caroline Mean Girl Gerundula In My Chair
  11. He's been signed as a player again this season. That will be his eighth season with us. Not sure how much he'll feature this year, but bound to get some game time; turns forty in September. He's been nothing short of sensational in his time at the Indodrill. Total leader.
  12. Really hope he does well. Better going forward than defensively. Did very well for us this season, after a difficult debut year listening to Barry Ferguson's sh*te from the touchline, with several assists and a couple of goals. Very left sided and good pace. If he can improve the defensive side of his game (and there were signs that was coming) then could go on to be a decent signing for QotS.
  13. I really like Ferry's version of Simple Twist of Fate. I agree with your main point though.
  14. I quite liked him, although I know some Alloa fans didn't (unfairly IMO as he wasn't fully fit for his last handful of games, but played because of other injuries and those games were so important). He played mainly as a wing back for us, but might be better as LB in a back four. He links up well with his strikers and has decent delivery off both feet. Also has a useful long throw. Looked to me like he is still learning the defensive side of the game, but was OK at that. Hope he does well.
