  1. I picked up my ticket this morning. We are in the main stand right enough.
  2. Yes, we will. Rice always plays with two up front and encourages the team to attack. You never know who is going to start, especially since we brought in a few at the end of the transfer window. Whether we play a back three (as I suspect we will) or four it's difficult to predict defence; Taggart and Devine were the two centre backs against Airdrie, but Stanger was ill and Howie came on for his first appearance of the season (after an operation and looked good). I'm hopeful both Miller and Cawley retain their places. We'll keep the ball better with those two beside Robbo and Scougal. Which will be important IMO.
  3. Really good win today. Players who came in all did well. Eyebrows were raised with Kev starting at right full back in a four and Taggs beside Devine, but both the Wee Man and Taggs were excellent. Indeed no failures today. In particular I thought Murray Miller had his best game in an Alloa shirt on the right of midfield. Two cracking goals, which should help both Donnelly's and McIver's confidence - always a positive for strikers in particular. Ross's goal was as good a strike as I can remember at the Indodrill for a while. It was good to see Craig Howie back again. He'll be pushing for a starting place now.
  4. Must admit I prefer Scougs as one of the central midfield two; think we look at our best when we keep the ball and pass it about - Scougs and Robbo are fundamental for that IMO. I agree McIver isn't best suited to playing behind the front two. Have always thought that is Kev's best position and believe we should be playing him there. Donnelly would be my first alternative. Four points would indeed be a very good return.
  5. I've never tested positive. Probably because I've never tested.
  6. Indeed. For all Leohas....'s referee bashing is boring and usually not justified he and Kieran do an excellent job.
  7. Cheers. Can't imagine any way that would make things confusing, less efficient or effective.
  8. Can you show us the next two or three frames after that - each one of them? Inconclusive so far IMO.
  9. If refs are consistently not giving fouls every week for certain things, then I think it's fair to assume these things are not against the laws of the game now (if they ever were).
  10. I thought 3-0 flattered Dunfermline a bit, but no doubt that it was a comfortable win. We were poor first half while the Pars were solid throughout the team and deserved to lead at half-time, scoring two good goals. Second half, I thought we played well, but only really created a couple of good chances. Easy to see why Dunfermline have a good defensive record - Benedictus as expected a leader at the back. Will be interesting to see who Rice starts against Airdrie. For me we looked better with a back four and Cawley, Miller, Offord and Donnelly all did enough to advance their cases to start. It was particularly good to see Wee Kev getting some game time in a central role.
  11. I didn't make the leap in my mind from being struck to the car being driven at the cop. My questions were rhetorical, but thanks for your thoughts.
  12. It's time someone came up with a system of car identification to avoid this sort of mistake. Maybe a unique alpha/numeric reference for each car. Perhaps we could call that its "registration number"? Why was the cop so keen to aggressively confront a car which (the officer thought) had merely "failed to stop" previously? Even if the cop had been struck by the car, why would that justify trying to shoot someone dead? What a f***ed up place!
  13. Not sure why, but I've got a good feeling out this game. As often the first goal will be vital and if we can get that (as we have done four times in the five match unbeaten run) then we have the in form strikers and options to cause Dunfermline's good defence problems on the break. Waspie, Dink etc al have made good points about the shape of the team, and it's clear our best eleven is uncertain. In particular there is a question mark for me over the midfield after the performance at Queen's, but with footballers as good as Scougall, Robbo and Wee Kev backed up by Adam King and Murray Miller, that midfield should be able to match any team in the division. So, 3-0 Dunfermline probably.
  14. Brandon Barker off. Throwing in the towel IMO.
  15. The only thing spoiling this a bit is the main commentator generally blethering sh1te and trying to shoehorn in references to the EPL or England. Re Omonia's Hungarian player defending well: "He's got 50 caps for Hungary and they've been playing well the last couple of years. As have England." How the f*ck is that comment relevant?
  16. Since the goal the Cypriot team have grown in confidence. Man U look shell- shocked.
