  2. Not bad, knocked the ball about well at times and some really good use of long balls down the wing.. Nathan Flanagan was turning his man inside out for most of the first half and got into some good positions, but EK never really troubled the keeper much. First time I've seen them under Kennedy, they are playing well as a unit which is good for what is a team almost assembled from scratch - though the ex-Darvel contingent already have that understanding of course!
  3. The late night public transport options to EK are terrible.. used to be a 23:30 train on a Friday night but they cut that a wee while ago, now your latest train home from Glasgow is 23:17, so the night bus was the fallback option for a late night out.
  4. Probably not living her best life last night when she got a slap in the puss from security after chasing after that 14ft French basketball bloke...
  5. Aye you're not wrong, he could easily come out and say it's not Goodwillie. Seems happy to keep this going and that's pretty disgraceful.
  6. Did Goodwillie make it over to Australia before that club binned him? Seems unlikely that EK would get a deal in place so quickly after him and his agent has negotiated that Aussie contract. I think/hope this is just thick-as-shit attention seeking from the social media guy, it has certainly garnered attention (original tweet has more than 232,000 views which is impressive for a Lowland League side) but this surely can't be an approach the club condones?
  7. Yep I've seen those names suggested on Twitter, along with Lafferty also being available and a possible option. This is the second time there's been a social media post which has hinted/alluded to rumours EK would be signing Goodwillie, that's clearly deliberate and in quite poor taste..
  8. Could still be on, Goodwillie ticks all these boxes. Social media bloke definitely trolling everyone with the "good will come" line...
  9. So they paid £15 in a sit-in restaurant for two cans of Coke (probably at least £2 each) and what is then most likely a regular sized fish supper which at about £10-11 would not be a kick in the arse off what you'd pay at a takeaway but here has the sit-in premium, when they've only ordered for one instead of two as well. Nothing to see here.
  10. Just a couple more signings to go and Kennedy will have got the 2022/23 Darvel side promoted to the Lowland League after all...
  11. Yep they've really stepped up their online output in recent weeks, must have a new enthusiastic student working on their portfolio. Hopefully this is an announcement of Scott Allan who has been rumoured to be signing, and the implied references to Badcock are purely coincidental...
  12. How EK Twitter trailed the signing of new midfielder Calvin McGrory earlier today: Their next Tweet: Goodwillie incoming, or Twitter admin having a laugh?
  13. As an EK fan I'm wary of the circus that Kennedy/Ferry will bring, but then again the club have tried the more traditionally experienced route with the likes of Stark, Aitken & Rutkiewicz and it hasn't worked so maybe something different is what's needed. Certainly willing to give the new guys a chance but I'm not overly filled with confidence for the new season, particularly with the added challenge of the strength of the likes of Tranent and potentially Albion Rovers (if they keep things together).
  14. Uh-oh.. "OceanGate fired expert who warned about Titan safety in 2018 A submarine expert who worked for OceanGate – the company that operates the missing submersible – warned of potential safety problems in 2018, according to US court documents. David Lochridge moved from Scotland to Washington state to work for the firm. In a BBC interview in 2017 he enthused about the mission and said it was "destined for the sea". But less than a year later he warned his bosses that flaws in the Titan's carbon hull might go undetected without more stringent testing, and urged the company to have an outside agency certify the vessel. He said his verbal warnings were ignored until he wrote a report and was called into a meeting with several officials - including OceanGate chief executive Stockton Rush, who is aboard the missing submersible. OceanGate responded by firing Lochridge. The company sued him for revealing confidential information, and the submarine expert countersued for unfair dismissal. The lawsuit was later settled. Through his lawyer, Lochridge declined to comment. Court documents also state that Lochridge learned that the manufacturers of the Titan’s forward viewport only certified it to a depth of 1,300 metres. The Titanic wreck lies 3,800 metres below the ocean surface."
  15. The latest ex-Darvel bloke to turn up at K-Park is goalkeeper Chris Truesdale. That's signing number 7 from Darvel I think.
  16. Another two former Darvel players confirmed signed this evening (Cammy Eadie and Lyle Avici), what's the ex-Darvel tally at now? More signings to be anounced tomorrow morning..
  17. Who are these booze bags at the EK games, can I be one of them?
  18. I only just realised that this was a thing recently, I heard this song by obscure Glasgow-based singer Yana on the radio about 10 years ago and couldn't figure out how her track was so widely used but not known (it's a cracker):
  19. Concerns over Loch Ness' falling water levels This should make it easier to find out.
  20. Hot off the press, this picture is brilliant: Man attempts to collect £34 Indian takeaway in Falmouth to find restaurant has closed down
  21. Scottish football managers, a great bunch of European trophy winning lads.
