  1. Looks like a T3rd finish for Martin Laird at the 3M Open, it's only the 4th cut he has made since the Arnold Palmer at Bay Hill back in March.
  2. Harrington goes long again and duffs his chip, Cejka has 2 for the win but leaves himself a tickly one.
  3. Euan McIntosh was T7th, despite an awful closing stretch dropping 4 shots in 3 holes late in his round. He was pro but gave up for years but was reinstated as an amateur in 2015 with his long term plan being to play on the Legends Tour. He was the oldest player to win the Scottish amateur at age 49 in 2018, the managed to get his card for the legends tour just before Covid hit. He has one win so far to his name.
  4. If it had got as bad as this last week I'm 99.9% sure they would have taken the players off the course.
  5. Same again today, Cejka currently a shot in front at +2 thru 6 holes. Anyone in the clubhouse at +7 or so could win this.
  6. Has to be the most boring season ever, it's been an absolute procession to the driver's championship for Max.
  7. I guess we won't hear as many complaints about the rain this time with the Aussies well on top at the moment.
  8. Very easy. Few balls that have beaten the edge but no genuine chances. I've been baffled by a lot of the captaincy this series, but England's bowling choices have seemed bizarre to me. Wood has taken wickets in the series just by raw pace doing for the batsman, but they then keep him in reserve for the ball to get older in the hope that it's going to swing. Meanwhile they persevered with Anderson whose biggest weapon is swing, even though there is almost none at all.
  9. Would any other country have a 90mph plus bowler and not use him in the first session with a new ball?
  10. Been a waste of a fielder right through the series imo.
  11. It's been one of Broad's biggest assets, he's rarely been unavailable. They might try and persuade Jimmy to keep going so they can rotate him, Tongue and Wood.
  12. It was only later after I posted the Mollie King clip I was wondering why Aggers was even asking about Broad retiring. There must have been a hint of a rumour at least doing the rounds. She certainly fended it off with a straight bat.
  13. Now call me cynical, but the fact that Sky had a tribute video ready to roll last night suggests that Broad's announcement wasn't as big a surprise to them as it was to everyone else. Fully expecting him to be on commentary for them soon, they've not had a bowler regularly since Botham and Holding left.
  14. f**k playing poker against Mollie King. This was this afternoon when she already knew he was chucking it.
  15. I've been lucky enough to see two ludicrously good spells from English seamers in the Ashes as they hapoened. As a 10 year old dumped at my granny's during the school holidays in 1981 I watched Bob Willis tear in for 8-43 to give England the unlikeliest of wins. That was nothing compared to Broad ripping them apart for 8-15 at Trent Bridge in 2015. He was just unplayable and made a lot of good batsmen look bang average.
  16. He's going to be a huge loss for England, and you have to think Anderson won't be far behind. Big shoes to fill for Wood, Robinson and co.
  17. Petershill 4 (Miller 6, McNeill 44, 65, McGiff 68) St. Roch's 1 (Galasso 90) Early goal of the season contender from Darren Miller with a 30 yard top bin free kick, Evan Galasso also scored a cracker with a lob from miles out after we had given the ball away in midfield.
  18. Been some dismal bowling from the Aussies this morning.
