  1. Generous call there, Horne looked offside to me.
  2. Another well worked score, good start.
  3. He also hit a horrible chip on 5 that led to another dropped shot, certainly looks miles off it today. His drive at the second clattered a tree on the left and shot across to the right.
  4. Rory off to a bad start today, taking a 6 at the 331 yard second hole. Not sure if it clipped a tree or not, but his drive only travelled 107 yards and ended up in the bundai next to the front tee box. He could then only hack it forward 10 yards or so, then his 3rd still didn't find the fairway. Missed a short birdie putt on the 3rd to claw one back. Misses the fairway off the tee at 4.
  5. This weekend's US Senior Open is Bernhard Langer's 304th tourney since joing the Senior tours in 2008. It's the first time he has ever missed a cut.
  6. Not that it's any of your fucking business, but my mother in law is in the highly vulnerable category. Got LFT kits in the house anyway.
  7. It's been made out to be a lot more dramatic than it was. He thinned a bunker shot and nobody had seen it fly OB. By the time he and his playing partners realised the next group were waiting in the fairway to play. Kokrak was missing the cut anyway so decided just to not record a score. He still went in to the scorers hut and certified his partners cards.
  8. After avoiding it until now I was hit with the Covid hammer on Thursday. Had worked nightshift on Wednesday and felt fine, woke up on Thursday with a thumping sore head, thought nothing of it as it's not that unusual, especially on muggy days like Thursday was. Ended up taking Thursday night off, and had a dreadful sleep, sweating bullets and aching all over. Been sore ever since. Tested positive yesterday, which is a pain in the hole as we were supposed to be going away on Monday, a holiday already moved from last October as the daughter had Covid then. Was expecting the aches and pains, not so much the faecal Jackson Pollocks.
  9. An insight into how LIV's recruitment process works. https://golf.com/news/ex-college-star-reveals-liv-golf-recruitment/?amp=1
  10. Just to prove how stupid golf is, Miguel Angel Jimenez shot his worst ever score in a US Senior Open yesterday with a 79. He followed it up today with his best ever score, a 64. Harrington in the lead at halfway.
  11. Back in DP land, Robert MacIntyre was going along nicely and was 6 under, but a back 9 of 39 saw him slip back to -3 and end up missing the cut, along with the likes of Warren, Gallacher and Syme. Richie Ramsay going well again.
  12. Utterly bonkers round by Rory, 7 birdies so far but playing 2 holes like a 28 handicapper leaves him level for the day.
  13. Turns out it was neither, it was Paul Paton.
  14. Sky took great delight in getting a hold of Martin Kaymer as soon as he stepped off the course earlier to tell him his punishments. What they didn't say though, was that Rob Lee doing the interview has a vested interest as a current board member of the Tour.
  15. Had to happen eventually I suppose, but finally succumbed to Covid. Felt fine on Wednesday, did a nightshift, woke up yesterday with my head bursting and a cough, tested negative. Stayed off last night and had a dreadful sleep, sweating bullets and aching from head to toe, tested positive this morning.
  16. 9 players who played the first LIV event won't play on the second. 6 new players (Brooks, Bryson, Ancer, Perez, Reed and Yuki Inamori) take their places, with 3 more TBC.
