  1. Scheffler 5 up thru 11 against DJ after going 3 up after the first 4 holes. The other match is all square. (I flatly refuse to say it's tied like the PGA want us to use)
  2. England all out with a lead of 27.
  3. Grenada looks lovely btw. I'm old enough to remember when a US backed coalition invaded it.
  4. Delighted for Ferguson, must still have been a few mental scars from blowing up the last time he was in contention. He finished eagle-par-birdie after being +1 for the day thru 15 holes.
  5. My bird feeder has been strangely quiet for a few weeks, taking a lot longer than usual to be emptied. Think I might have discovered the reason yesterday. Got home from the football and there was a sparrowhawk sitting on top of the fence in next door's driveway.
  6. I've defended Root as captain, mainly as there are no other obvious choices and he is about the only guy guaranteed a spot in the team. If he had a hand in picking the squad for this tour though then even his position has to be questioned. The decision to leave both Anderson and Broad at home was baffling. Admittedly it then looks a lot worse when Wood and Robinson get injured. Yet again though the batting was atrocious in this test. Too many wickets flung away playing at balls that should have been left well alone. For all that Bairstow has played well lately, god knows what he was thinking last night with the shot that got him out.

  8. Is Gower getting paid by the word?
  9. 8 down. Mayers has 5 wickets for 9 runs. England need a repeat of the first innings from the very end of the tail.
  10. I'm 100% sure some players are aiming for it, it's a ludicrous set up. There's almost no way they can carry the water hitting driver and keep the ball close to the green without hitting the stand, especially if it's downwind.
  11. 6 down, Foakes run out chasing a needless run. Cracking throw tbf.
  12. They could do away with the grandstand, one of the LPGA events had an 18th hole that was similar and it was much better when the stand wasn't there due to Covid.
  13. 5 down, Bairstow having a wild swipe which he edges behind.
  14. England still 16 behind with 4 wickets down at the drinks break.

  16. Bob having a great run of holes, won the 15th to go dormie 3 up, and has knocked another one very close on 16.
  17. Bob sticks one in very close on 14, and wins with a birdie to go 2 up.
  18. Shout out for Richard Bland going through his group unbeaten, beating Westwood and Gooch and halving with DeChambeau. He plays DJ tomorrow. Bob and Sergio all over the place on 12, Bob nicks it by holing a putt from downtown, Sergio misses from much closer, Bob goes 1 up.
  19. Seeing plenty of Bob v Sergio. All square thru 10.
  20. That 13th hole should have the windmill and the clown's head. Players are just bombing it straight at the stand knowing they will get a drop if they end up against it.
  21. Windies were 95-6, so definitely a chance missed by England to have a lead. Yesterday's performance by Leach and Mahmood was the first time since 1885 that a team's number 10 and 11 were their two top scorers.
  22. It was bonkers. Some brainless wonder had painted the red hazard line across the middle of the sprinkler. Pieters ball had landed inside the hazard line so therefore he wasn't entitled to relief as he was in the hazard, but would have been if the line had been painted in the right place.
