  1. England 204 all out, thanks to Leach and Mahmood adding 90 for the last wicket.
  2. Never saw the end of Pakistan's innings yesterday, but they lost their last 7 wickets for just 20 runs as Starc and Cummins ripped through them. Australia on to 120-1 and building a hefty lead.
  3. Ash Barty retires from tennis aged 25 and just 2 months after winning the Australian Open, she hasn't played at all since then.
  4. Saw a bit this morning when I came in from work. Classic bit of commentator's curse from Simon Katich, he was talking up Carey and Green for their maiden test 100s when they were both on 60 odds. Carey was out the next ball he faced and Green out for 79 not long after. Pakistan always seem to do pretty well mopping up the tail, Naseen Shah and Afridi were very good as Australia only added another 38 runs for the last 3 wickets, and Starc and Cummins can usually be relied in to score a few but only managed 13 and 11no respectively.
  5. He's definitely not suspended or anything though, just complete coincidence that his name was very quietly added to the past champions not playing list. Talking of past champions who won't be there, good article about Angel Cabrera on the Bunkered website. https://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/angel-cabrera-the-major-champ-and-the-prison-of-hell
  6. Bob in the round robin with Morikawa, Garcia and Kokrak.
  7. Sam Burns retained his Valspar title last night in a playoff with Davis Riley. Burns holed a monster putt at the second extra hole, after earlier sinking a big putt for bogey on the 17th. Riley carded an 8 on a par 5 and the map of his shots on the hole was a work of art. The graphic on the PGA app doesn't really do it justice as he played up the adjacent hole. Burns has pulled out of the WGC Matchplay, the group draw takes place later today with Bob in pot 4 just like last year.
  8. I'm definitely all for having a forward as captain, much easier for him to be in the ref's ear at scrums and lineouts.
  9. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/3122525/six-nations-2022-gregor-townsend-vows-to-stay-on-but-stuart-hoggs-scotland-captaincy-in-doubt/?utm_source=twitter
  10. Another hiding for the under 20s, they were 45-0 behind before troubling the scorers.
  11. Windies 3 down already after just 12 and a bit overs.
  12. One of the points made on the radio yesterday was that a team who considered themselves serious title contenders wouldn't have been "ripping the arse out of it" just because they had beat England. Serious teams on a 6 day turnaround between games would have had a couple of beers, then get ready to work their arses off to win again the next week. Instead we turn up in Cardiff against the poorest Welsh team in ages but absolutely shit the bed as standard. I do think Toony's time is up, but as long as the mindset of the senior players is that beating only England is everything, then we are fucked no matter who the head coach is.
  13. Well done to France, played the best rugby in the tournament, deserved winners.
  14. France have fallen right out the game. Only 5 points in it now.
  15. Not even a hint of neutrality with the two co-commentators either. Anyway, Allez!!!
  16. He also didn't return to the team hotel on Saturday, went to his parents house in Stirling from what I've heard. Yep, that was mentioned on radio too.
