  1. Thing is, you knew it was going in before he had it hit because they've shown you nothing else he has hit.
  2. And ricocheting around in the trees like me.
  3. Bogeyed 16 to go back to +3. Saw this on Twitter, he's faring better than a lot of Scots did on their Augusta debut.
  4. b*****d just made a couple of very good par saves.
  5. Not a great day for European Ryder Cup hopefuls, Willett, Garcia, McIlroy, Westwood and Perez all +4 or worse.
  6. 4 bogeys in a row, stark reminder of how quickly it can go tits up at Augusta. Level par to +4 in the blink of an eye.
  7. Rory has had some low points at Augusta, but hitting his own Dad with an approach must be the nadir. https://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/watch-rory-mcilroy-hits-own-dad-with-wild-approach
  8. Former 49ers draftee Phillip Adams identified as the gunman who shot 6 people in NY state, killing 5 of them, before killing himself. https://amp.thestate.com/news/local/crime/article250516334.html?__twitter_impression=true
  9. As I posted, I don't blame him for turning up and playing, but there should be a cut off point imo. The only positive about the way the field is made up at the Masters is that Sandy, Ollie and co aren't doing another player out of a spot.
  10. Level par thru 8 holes, great recovery.
  11. Before we all start complaining about the coverage, it's worth downloading the Masters app as you will see every shot at some point. Sandy Lyle plus 4 thru 4, birdied the second, bogeyed the third, and ran up a quadruple bogey 7 on the par 3 fourth.
  12. Ooft. Downhill putts in particular will be very tough, the 15th green isn't even particularly steep.
  13. Very nicely put together tribute. You would have loved to have seen the look on the faces of those motorcyclists when she went horsing past them in a transit van. Yep, notable by his absence, every other presenter from her first appearance until now was there.
  14. 66-4 at lunch, Tom Haines hitting 52 of them.
  15. They didn't give any detail, but I assumed LFT and face masks would be standard.
  16. Among all the chat about Euro crowds, report on BBC Breakfast this morning that the final of the World Snooker at the Crucible in just over 3 weeks time is to be played in front of a full house with no social distancing.
  17. I just don't see what he is trying to achieve. As great as his ability is, I don't see him regaining the sharpness that would get him competing to win tourneys. He was miles away from where he would need to be on Monday, even though he won. There were safety and positional shots that were feet short, never mind inches. His situation is completely different to White's as my understanding is that Jimmy is still trying to play as he needs the money, not that he has made a lot in prize money since coming back on tour.
  18. Ioane banned for 5 games after last week's red card.
  19. Yep, flips round for Friday and they go first, with the other two ball going out in the middle of the field. It's one of the vagaries of the Masters invite system that they can end up with an odd number. There are 16 former winners missing, although Tiger was probably the only one who would play. There's also a few amateurs missing as their regional amateur championships didn't take place. There are a few former winners who should really give it up, Woosnam for example has made two cuts this millennium, and not since 2008. As much as I loved Sandy Lyle back in the day, he hasn't fared much better, last making the cut in 2014. In fairness though, I don't blame them for turning up every year, but I'd rather see the guys who are next on the OWGR make up the numbers than watch Woosnam or Ollie run up another 80.
  20. Awful news. It's a mark of a great actor when you see him in different roles and it takes a while to click that it's the same guy. He was hilarious in Friday Night Dinner, and chilling in Chernobyl, he was also very good in a spy thing on the BBC a few years back called The Game.
  21. Add Ray Houghton to that list, he was on Sky this morning waxing lyrical about how wonderful Liverpool had been against Arsenal and how they were favourites tonight because Ramos was missing.
  22. Here's the full draw, f**k knows what Laird has done to deserve getting fucked out in a two ball bang in the middle if the draw. 8.00 am Georgia is 1.00 pm here.
