    Somerset got off to a great start at the Ageas Bowl as they reduced Hampshire to 88-7 as they try to clinch their first ever County Championship. The hosts recovered though putting on 92 for the 8th wicket and are now 190-9. Edit: Hampshire 196 all out, Josh Davey taking 2-34 from 13 overs.

    I had steadfastly refused to download it until last week when it became clear that the iPlayer radio app was no longer going to be supported. Complete waste of money imo, the iPlayer radio app was perfectly fine.

    It's dreadful. With the match so finely poised this should be gripping viewing, but it's so slow it's unwatchable.

    Heard today that Championship games will now only get assistant refs by request, and even then there is no guarantee that you will get them. Not great at this level of football tbh.

    I'll give them a wee bit of leeway as the conditions are tough with a strong blustery wind, but even with that 4 hours is a generous time for a matchplay 2 ball.

    Pace of play not much better today at Gleneagles, looking at around 3 hrs for 12 holes for what is effectively a two ball.

    As they said on commentary, a couple of years ago the two 4th and very shorts that they failed to convert would have seen Newton just plough through to get the 1st down himself. Any time he did try to run last night he got nowhere. Got to hand it to the Buccs, doubt anyone will give away a more stupid penalty than calling back to back timeouts when you are right on your own goal line.
