He'll also be disappointed that with 3 par 5s in the last 4 holes he could only pick up one shot today. He had long birdie putts on 16 and 17 that went close, as did a long eagle putt on 18.

I can't get the clamour to ditch Denly, he and Burns are now getting settled into the side imo, Roy and Buttler have to go long before Denly does for me.

Definitely. Why bowl at the top of off stump against proper batsmen then try short stuff against the tail, especially when Overton is ducking everything well.

They've discussed Bairstow moving up a few times on Tuffers and Vaughan on 5Live, as they suggest he might be a better option up there as long as he is not keeping wicket, it's the one fielding position that will be out there for every ball. I'd be worried that having Stokes as Captain would affect his game in the same way that Root seems to have been dragged down a bit by it. Sadly I think England have to start planning for life without Jimmy Anderson. Whether Curran or Wood is the answer I don't know. I really hope Archer's drop off in pace has been his choice rather than something in the coaching. They ruined Finn when he was younger.

If England somehow manage to get a draw here there's no way they will drop Roy for the last test. Only change would likely be Overton dropping out again.

I honestly can't remember Broad bowling as consistently well through a whole series. Yes he has had ridiculously good spells like the 8-15, but his length in this series has been spot on more often than not.
