    His ultimate goal was independence and a referendum was his preferred method of achieving that. It would be a revisionist claim IMO to suggest that Salmond thought he couldn't win it and I imagine he was ambitious and confident enough to believe that he could achieve it on his terms.

    Think it's fair to say that Salmond has achieved more within the confines of the Scottish Parliament than anyone else you could think to name but that he failed in his ultimate goal. Fair play for committing political seppuku over it the day after. A true showman.

    I freely admit to knowing the square root of f**k all on this apart from my own anecdotal experience and I don't think the government should base policy on it over health professionals and the other people who are paid to consider this.

    The manner in which they act and speak makes their actions towards the latter half more understandable IMO. I wasn't as shocked as I could've been but I always on edge.

    There's no difference here from what the UK, USA or indeed anyone does. Suggesting small minded parochialism clouding a parliament is unique to Scotland is baffling and driven by an agenda IMO.

    Whoever wins this election will likely shine a light on which direction the party will go. All of the deadweight and notable figures of the banter years are conveniently starting their meltdowns over Corbynista vote rigging before the result's even been made known so maybe they'll piss off pronto.

    I grew up in a single parent household with an alcoholic mother and I'm not sure that this would've stopped the drinking. It probably would've made it even more difficult to keep the lecky on tbh.
