  1. Don't think it's unfair to say the SNP are running a stable, competent and effective government. The problem is, IMO, that the opposition is too poor to offer an effective critique of the SNP's ideology and thus the SNP don't feel much of a need to do much other than keeping the country running.
  2. The SNP would have to plunder a fair fucking whack to even come close to the collection of aristocratic nonces in the Tory party who owe their wealth to their ancestors running slave plantations in the colonies.
  3. Imagine all the triggered libtards when the Republic of Kekistan rules the radioactive wastes that used to be the east coast of America.
  4. I'd prefer a commitment to the single market definitely and it's depressing that the choice is between a well thought out social democratic manifesto and a commitment to hold another referendum. The masses of people that did vote for change aren't going to willingly come back to the same shite that's got us into this situation.
  5. Hopefully whoever thought Olympus Has Fallen was suitable travel entertainment for Trump is punted after this latest round of sabre rattling.
  6. I think the lesson the SNP need to learn from the last election and the Lib Dems is that anti-Brexit as a stance alone won't take them to where they want to be. Marry continued membership of the single market with a social democratic blueprint for a post-independence Scotland and I think they'll scoosh it.
  7. Ah it's fine the Tories will just keep making permanent staff redundant, replace them with three part timers and sit back satisfied at the employment numbers rising.
  8. Can't believe the last thing we'll see when the bombs fall is Baxter's dull shite continuing long past everyone got bored of it.
  9. " Failing Fake News Media (apologized!) claiming I 'mistakenly' levelled Seoul last night when I was pre-emptively stalling a North Korean occupation! Sad! Must report honestly!"
  10. Clinton got less votes than Obama with a higher voting age population against a cartoon fascist. Good to see banana's back since the divorce to join our resident Yank nutcase. The far right manchild demographic is looking stacked atm if oaksoft comes back.
  11. Kudos to NI for seeing themselves as just the 17 years behind Scotland though.
  12. And she still lost to a cartoon fascist most famous for a reality tv show and clotheslining Vince McMahon.
  13. Right except the vast majority of discourse from the left on Clinton didn't reach the conclusion that "they're all the same duuuude" it correctly made the call that Clinton was an uninspiring candidate who represented more of the same that people didn't want. Combine that with the incredibly patronising tone the campaign struck at the youth "Pokemon Go to the polls" and dabbing on Ellen and it's bizarre that people want to deflect blame from the candidate and her team.
  14. The Remain campaign was awful. I understand why Wales for example, a country hated by Thatcher and ignored by Blair would rebel against a campaign that focused almost exclusively on the City of London. It was a decision made in ignorance but I'm not going to blame the people who's lot in life was so shit that they saw the chance for one final gamble. That the structural issues in Britain have been caused by British governments is just a sad irony.
  15. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-education-higher-university-study-university-leave-eu-remain-voters-educated-a7881441.html Tbf I studied the EU at university and barely understood it either. That we put such a monumentally complex institution and our continued membership up for a quick referendum will take some beating as the worst political decision of all time.
  16. It's a yer da opinion but I'm firmly of the belief that a newspaper should print retractions and apologies in the same space where they made the original claim.
  17. It's weird how it's the left's fault that the liberal centre are so fucking shit and love pandering to an implacable right.
  18. Not even a politician. I have a bit of time for Greer as his politics are largely sound and less common than they should be in a supposedly progressive parliament but he's well off with Cat Boyd as you said.
  19. What's worse though? Trump dodging the draft or McCain going over there and immediately surrendering to the Viet Cong? Tough call IMO.
  20. You yourself here are pleading for her not to be booted out of her party for having a totally normal view on LGBT rights.
  21. He was moaning about the "irrational cult of youth" the other week. Start giving young people agency and stop patronising them and maybe they won't scoff at your joke of a party, Vince.
  22. The Yes movement is just starting to resemble an afters that's went on far too long.
