  1. Presumably all the home clubs have sold PPV. SKY's agreement with the SPFL says that clubs can't PPV games that are broadcast - I don't imagine the clubs could be fucked with the hassle and PR grief they'd get from home and away fans who have already paid over their cash so Sky would have been told to do one. SSN managed to cause confusion earlier by announcing they would be broadcasting the Motherwell v United game but both clubs have clarified that's not the case.
  2. I'd guess they've had their collective baws toed by the SG and it's been pointed out that the optics will be terrible if the game goes ahead and a St Johnstone player ends up testing positive off the back of it. They'll probably have to re-test and then re-test again to check there aren't more positive cases in the squad.
  3. You've already had Hibs and Motherwell get a slap on the wrist for late test results and Rangers have questions about how they played the game against United if they were still waiting on results. Those are procedural points though and in the case of the late tests it's kind of out of the hands of the clubs. If a player/players have just fucked off the rules then you can absolutely see them/Aberdeen being heavily done for it.
  4. Still at large. Can we take a moment to revisit that statement?
  5. @Busta Nut's post is the concise version. He's very lightweight. He was supposed to have been brought in to replace Marvin Johnson despite being nothing like the same type of player. His USP was the wild number of assists he had with Forest Green. The deal was supposed to happen in the summer but didn't go through in time so he arrived in the January but looked miles off it - his debut was off the bench against Rangers and he spent 14 mins just getting bodied about Fir Park. By the time he was up to speed McGhee had been sacked Robinson was in and we were in a relegation scrap. He chipped in with a goal against Kilmarnock that kept us up and provided 7 assists in his 15 appearances that season - in honesty that was as good as it got - everything after saw him him a squad player more than anything. He really didn't fit in with Robinson's Thunderdome season - he was tried at LWB and fair fucks to him for giving it a go. He was asked about it at a press conference and conceded he'd literally never played there in his life. He also picked up a few injuries which meant Cadden and Tait established themselves as first choice in the WB positions - and meant we didn't play with any wingers. Next season he was being lined up to play as a winger in our 433 - he got injured and Hastie took his place against Hibs then started pinging them in and that was that. He was offered a new deal but unsurprisingly he knocked it back.
  6. Burrows replied to one of his (many) reply guys a while back about them going on sale if we hadn't confirmed a main sponsor. As @Busta Nut says, it seems we're still looking - though given the number of comments about the shirt looking better without any sponsors logos rolling it out to the initial pre-order customers then adding branding further down the line is probably (unintentionally) best of both. If you want a sponsorless version then buy it now at full price. I'm sure we'd still take the money from whomever but given there's been varying degrees of pushback about the type of sponsorship on the shirt eg: bookies, Cash Converters and most recently the Glen's BOS branding it's a small market in terms of 'socially acceptable' sponsors.
  7. Home shirt available as of tomorrow lads. Fwiw I picked up my away (large) at the weekend and the fit is great.
  8. Out Of Sight (1998) I've been revisiting a lot films of recently - particularly stuff from the 80s and 90s and was pleased to see this pop up on Netflix again. At the time of release lots was made of the chemistry between Clooney and Lopez and tbh along with Soderbergh's whole visual style they make it an incredibly watchable. It's just a great film. 9/10
  9. Don't worry it's not going to be a regular thing and I don't really f**k with xG. I just thought it was quite nice to see Scottish Fitba' being afforded the same sort of stats detail as "the big leagues". Also, it allows you to say things like: and show your working.
  10. Fully realise this is a heavy nerd type post but I see WhoScored? is publishing full stats for the Premiership games. A comparison of touches between Laidlaw and Carson is quite a picture. 14 of Carson's 35 touches were outside his box. 5 of Lang's 6 dribbles were successful. Hastie lost possession 7 times. More than anyone else on the park. Also...
  11. Not a rumour as such but Hearts have Elliot Frear on trial.
  12. We're doing PPV so I'd imagine so. £12 a go apparently. No further details since the below.
  13. As others have said that was a weird game. We were poor in part but you look at tactical decisions like sticking Turnbull out wide left for 45 mins and it's a massive foot shooting exercise. Colour me shocked that we took a grip of the game when we had players playing in their natural positions. My main concern going into the game was how Carson and McGinley would get on. Both were fine IMO. Yay! for that. The County penalty was a daft challenge as was Lang's red. The less said about Donnelly's pen the better. That said the strip looks v. nice...so that's something.
  14. Oh...Campbell's on the bench. That GIF was a bit quick in transition. As you were.
  15. For balance the Reserves currently have 7 players so it'll be interesting to see what happens there and whether there are any promoted from the Academy when that level starts back up. Out: First team: Hartley, Tait, Ferguson, Gillespie, Livingstone, Ilic, Manzinga, Aarons (end of loan), Ndjoli (end of loan), O'Hara (end of loan) = 10 Reserves: Hemfrey, Brown, Kettings, Starrs = 4 Total: 14 In: First team: Lamie, White, McGinley, Fox, O'Hara (loan made permanent), Hastie (loan), Lang (loan) = 7 Reserves: n/a Total: 7 Given the timing and also the situation with Tait leaving you'd think that most of the extensions would reflect the reworked budget. You'd also think that with Wigan's situation it means we've pretty much taken on 100% of Lang's wage but all the other signings barring O'Hara and White look like they are likely to be on less than the players they've replaced eg: Fox = Gillespie, Lamie = Hartley, McGinley = Tait, Hastie = Aarons. With the extensions and the squad as it stands we've 36 players across both First Team and Reserves. Last season across both it was 43 (including Ferguson, Devine, Livingstone and Morrison who had all been loaned out). Reading the quotes from Robinson's press conference on Friday then 'rona or not binning the "gambles" is probably something we can all get on board with.
  16. That's Devine, Hussain and Cornelius all been added to the First Team squad list on the official. 29 bodies in total.
  17. Thee Hypnotics supported and the gig finished early when one (or possibly both) of the Robinsons jumped into the crowd and started fighting with folk in the first couple of rows.
