  1. Oh I totally got the reference but aye, it doesn't necessarily mean he's re-signing. It's a nice graphic though. Aye, that said he was saying the kid Jensen deal would be done yesterday/Tuesday as well so he's 0 for 2 as it stands.
  2. I mean I know were very much 'brand' aware but is it not possible that it's just an old creative?
  3. I mean, you'd think so. Especially if we're chucking a decent fee at making Lang happen. Going by Long's IG he's still on Merseyside (and there's no lockdown haircut @Swello) but either way it'd be difficult to see how we could justify it unless either Hylton or Seedorf were on the way out. If Lang signs that'd be Lang / Watt / Hastie as 1st pick front 3 plus White, Hylton, Seedorf, MacIver and Robinson. That's 8 players for 3 positions - I know MacIver and Robinson are part of the Reserves group but still...
  4. In other news Nixon's been updating on the Lang situ. The fee is less than £500k (not a surprise)... But it's a relatively decent amount.
  5. It's not his favoured position but it wasn't quite out of necessity either - he ended up playing 2 full seasons at either LWB or LB so it wasn't just a case of filling in because of injury/suspension. He ended up playing on the left after Stevie Hammell retired mid-season and it turned out that him playing there gave us better balance and he was a better option for the position than someone like Stephen Hendrie or Aaron Taylor-Sinclair. We didn't really miss out at RWB/RB as Chris Cadden and Liam Grimshaw were options there. So we just stuck with it until last season when we brought in Jake Carroll. Unfortunately for Tait by that point Grimshaw had made the RB spot his own so he ended up mostly being used as cover for RB/LB.
  6. Interesting footnote to that article. Tbh, I'd have thought if anyone would have been of interest to O'Neill at Stoke it'd have been Campbell.
  7. There's been a ton of confusion about it. Iain Blair went on Sportsound and had to be corrected when he claimed clubs couldn't broadcast their home games that are live on Sky. Clubs like Motherwell, Killie, St Mirren, Celtic and a few others have confirmed that all home games will be available to ST holders for the duration of the behind closed doors/restricted capacity and the updated SPFL rules back that up. Accies have posted that their game against Rangers on Sky won't be available to UK viewers - but they're not doing STs which is presumably the issue there.
  8. I've not read Saints terms & FAQs but I did read the SPFL rules earlier and home games on Sky should be available to ST holders. Around page 101 here.
  9. I mean, in fairness the two deals Nixon's been talking about are Weir and Lang (per the tweet you quoted earlier). Turns out Weir's actually son of David. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jensen_Weir He's only 18 so presumably he's not around the 1st team - which would make sense if they're shipping out players who aren't in the starting XI at the moment.
  10. Along with Lang he's been talking about Brighton taking Jensen Weir who they've apparently been interested in for a while - I'd guess the window's not open for them to register him but there's presumably nothing to stop them agreeing a sale. They've also got Antonee Robinson who was supposed to sign for AC Milan but the deal fell through at the medical - Link. It seems Leicester have an interest in him now - Link
  11. The flip of that is that he can't play for them just now given he had been on loan at Shrewsbury so despite having 2 years left on his deal he's - for want of a better word - redundant. The English window isn't open and even if it was the level of teams who might be interested ie: Leagues 1 or 2 are an absolute shitshow with the knock on effects of the 'rona and budgets being cut all over the place. I mean, it's fucking bold of us to rock up and say to the administrator: "we were going to loan your player but here's £50k to make it permanent - what do you say?"
  12. There's a whole section about the VST/PPV side of things in the brand new updated SPFL rules (page 100-ish onwards).
  13. The VST thing is linked directly to STs. It's explicitly referenced in a section from page 101 of the 20/21 SPFL Rules. Presumably if Accies aren't doing Season Tickets this season it fucks them up in terms of able to broadcast the Sky games.
  14. That'll be the club pushing the season tickets again. Last year was 4,488...
  15. There's another video talking through his time at Morecambe. If you skip past the extremely Scouse chat you'll find patter like this... Sign him up...
  16. For avoidance of doubt, I wasn't being entirely serious with the "Tony Watt to have a Higdon season" comment.
  17. This is Tony Watt's Higdon season IMO. 27 goals and PoTY incoming.
  18. Depends really. There's a lot of foaming at the mouth in the Twitter replies but a lot of that is from folk who seem to have perma-rage issues. The P&B 'well fans definitely aren't representative of the fanbase as a whole but the majority of posts on our thread are absolutely fine with him coming back. Ultimately Motherwell and Hastie are the ones who have won from that particular transfer - we got £350k as a lump sum, he got a 4 year contract on daft wages for someone who had been out on loan at Alloa 6 months previously. If he comes back, scores some goals and we're winning games I'd think folk will largely keep quiet.
  19. Oldham? Depends which Robinson you mean. He was there at the same time as Robinson Jnr and they seem pally. Robinson Snr didn't sign him though. It was 18/19 he was on loan with them.
  20. That's interesting if we're able to get him for a knock-down price. He signed a 3 year extension with Wigan at the start of last season: https://wiganathletic.com/news/2019/august/Callum-Lang-signs-new-Wigan-Athletic-contract/
