  1. No, exactly as intended, mate. You're still probably going to burn in hell though.....
  2. Saved myself ¥1500 (£10 approx) on a haircut today.....
  3. Got my PET scan results back today. Still inconclusive but suspected metastasis. Start chemotherapy next Thursday.
  4. He's obviously too young to remember the Blitz spirit, mate. Land of hope and glory and all that, eh?
  5. He also sounded like Chic Young so I couldn't take him seriously at all although he was up against it having to defend an arsehole. This might be true of the defendant but it's not a crime. Half of the Posters on P&B would be arrested if it were.....
  6. Not interested in how he does versus Cowboy, but I'm looking forward to seeing him face his accuser in a Dublin Court of law.
  7. Not sure if this is a whoosh, but even as a capitalist (not a corporate capitalist/hegemonist(sp)), I don't believe in trickle down economics....... especially from the 1%!
  8. Yeh. I was aware of the potential to neutralise the stomach acids. One of the benefits of being married to a doctor. Drinking too much water in one sitting, regardless of PH isn't good for you either. Your body is more suited to constant sipping as opposed to large gulps. It's the same principle for eating too.
  9. I agree, there's many variables. But cancer cells don't like alkalines.
  10. The fluoride in tap water is better for teeth though.
  11. If Michael Stewart wants to play Robespierre in clearing out the SFA then I'll happily play Louis Antoine de Saint-Just. Off with their heads!
  12. Not sure if this has been posted before. An interesting watch and an interesting guy. PS - the link to the thread is the bit about the universe being a circulating highway.
  13. PH8.8-9.4 for a healthier drink of water.
  14. The 2008 rescue package was designed by the banks themselves, safe in the knowledge that the Politicians would get the public to bail them out. They'd have been better off paying everyones mortgage off to refinance the banks. Like you say, they've just kicked the can down the road. Interest rates are already hovering around 2% - zero, and are even negative in some Countries. QE is the only stimulus they have available when the next crash comes. I saw that car loan delinquencies in the US has hit 8% (something similar to housing delinquencies just before the 2008 crash). Student loan delinquencies are at 11%! It's a matter of time.
  15. My dogs bollocks have an appointment with the veterinary surgeons scalpel on Friday. Poor b*****d.
  16. I feel your pain. It does stink but Thai green curry wouldn't be the same without it. Try lemon juice the neutralise the smell......it works for taste!
  17. The banks have used the capital to buy back their stock thus artificially inflating their value. People thinking that the economy is booming, nay, doing well just because the FTSE/NASDAQ is going up obviously don't realise it's based purely on QE, which turns out to be public debt!
  18. The moisture also acts as a barrier to fine particles but you get different grades of masks, just like in the construction industry.
  19. They're not bad actually. I sometimes wear one here in the winter as the air is so dry. It keeps your throat moist and stops it getting sore.
  20. Or watching through the two way mirror...... Sometimes it's the parents pushing this "awareness". I worked with a guy that knows the father of a "famous" sick kid and he apparently uses his sons illness for benefits from their Club. That said, their Club is happy to use his son for good PR. I'd personally rather not get any media or companies involved in that kind of situation.
  21. Agree. The group think mentality and voter shaming won't change peoples opinions. They'll just not engage in a discussion about independence.
  22. Yeh, a high oil price helps the US as they're now a net exporter of oil. It makes me wonder if they (the bankers) are preparing to hit the reset button and introduce some form of global currency or crypto currency. Hence why I bought some gold and silver with my savings back in 2018.
  23. That might have genuinely been my parents! They had an experience like this a few years ago.
