I have to say, it's non-sensical to argue that the summer window wasn't good. The winter window was atrocious despite signing Mullen. This should maybe have been expected as we prioritised the summer window from a budget perspective. I do think we neglected areas of the squad badly. Left back and right back and central midfield. I was going to say upfront but I'd forgotten about Maguire. I am still left thinking if you took Dipo out of the team, where would we be?

I took that to mean that now wasn't the time rather than never.

Boateng is one of the best players in the league. One of the best midfielders I have seen at this level ever. During the game at Ochilview he was everywhere - pick pocketing our forwards and midfielders. He had such an influence on that game. I would take him in our team in a heart beat.

I've come to the conclusion that it's the playing style that is doing me in. Last night I was reflecting on this season compared to 2018/19. 2018/19 we had the abhorrent cup result and our form was dreadful post Christmas and we finished 4th. Objectively, this season has the potential to be much better (although we are trending toward a similar finish) but I'm not as happy. I think its maybe the combination of the playing style, where we were in the league after the first quarter and the countless missed opportunities but I'm scunnered. Last night we weren't really at the races, if not for Albinson the game would have been dead at half time. Without Dipo I fear we'd be propping up this league. There are some serious cracks being papered over at present.

I think there is definitely some buyers remorse wrt. Humza. However, there is a large section of the membership (I'm looking at you Mhairi Hunter) that vote as they are instructed to from the upper echelons. The sensible approach is as welshbairn demonstrates - in that you wait until near the deadline to cast your vote. This way it gives all candidates the longest time to convince you and allows you to see what they are really like under the pressure of the campaign.

I hope you are referring to Paddy Boyle as I'd rather he was at left back. Whatever age he is now!

Imagine where we'd be without Dipo? He's been involved in 26 of our 38 league goals. He really is like having a cheat code! Phenomenal. I hope we get decent money for him in the summer and invest it wisely for next season.
