  1. Yeah, he was given absolutely no protection in that godawful Hibs game, and the scoreline massively flattered them that day.
  2. He was definitely a bit of a slow burner for me: didn't notice him too much at the start, but he really excelled in the 3-5-2. It was the one major positive of that formation, tbh.
  3. I am incredibly ashamed to admit I'd forgotten about Henderson. I agree, he will start. If St Johnstone are short of keepers I'd absolutely be starting Dennis - he loves a pot-shot from distance and tends to hit the target, but yeah, wouldn't surprise me to see Quaner in that position.
  4. When we were having our issues, we kept the IDs of affected players very close to our chests. The obvious exception was when Alnwick was +ve and all the keepers were ruled out. It kind of emerged later down the line that we probably had far more players infected and struggling than we had ever let on.
  5. Starting to get nervy now. My confidence is pretty low for this one; St Johnstone were thoroughly decent against Rangers, and you can barely separate the sides this season - two 1-0 homes wins in Perth, a 3-2 home win in Paisley. Identical league records save for that all-important goal difference. St Johnstone obviously had a great LC win, though their semi final performance was way more impressive than the win over Livi IMO. We've shown we can literally beat any team in Scotland (aside from Hibs, for some reason) on our day, but anyone being truthful knows we very rarely show up for entire games and our performances over the past couple of months have mostly been leggy and quite laboured. I think we'll struggle against an energetic/athletic St Johnstone team. I want us to go four at the back, and this is what I would go with: Alnwick Fraser - Shaughnessy - McCarthy - Tait -------------- JDH - Erhahon --------------- Connolly/Quaner - McGrath - Durmus ------------------Dennis --------------------- Square pegs in square holes. McGrath MUST play close to Dennis. Ethan on to allow JDH to get forward. Feeling a bit sick just thinking about it, tbh! What we'll actually go with:
  6. That wording from the Record, though, FFS. "Covid Jobsworths." "Seething." 127k dead in the past 13 months and people implementing the associated restrictions are "jobsworths", apparently. And here are St Johnstone's "seething" quotes: The press really do themselves no favours, do they?
  7. The last time we reached a Scottish Cup Final. Skills from McDowall at the start there. Funny how less 'wild' fans actually used to get, even 34 years ago. Limbs definitely wasn't a thing there.
  8. I wish to make it clear that although I hate him and his development of chocolate wrists in a bid to get us relegated, I don't actually blame him for our relegation*. Ethically, that viewpoint doesn't resolve itself alongside telling Hearts fans they're being ridiculous over 1986. tl;dr - Main's a c**t but he's not responsible for our relegation, however much he might wish that was the case. * I blame that on the ridiculous SPL stadium requirements that wiped out our transfer budget, but that's another story.
  9. You could maybe go for #NotUpAnyMore in relation to your promotion attempts.
  10. Just for the record, the number of goals he scored while on trial goes up every time he talks about it.
  11. Not surprising he caught our eye, they gave us a real game in the cup and he was excellent.
  12. So, erm... we're apparently not allowed to play in Europe even if we qualify. Surely this'll be corrected. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/st-mirren-seek-clarification-after-24034262
  13. In spite of our top six ambitions, I am always inclined to be trying to work out which teams are likely to be shitter than us next season. It's just a natural starting point. Hearts could very well come back strong. Killie will always have the potential to regroup and be decent again. So from that point of view, I'm afraid I'd rather get rid of them for a season. Nothing personal.
  14. He sure posts on our threads a lot considering we're just 'nuisance value'. I'm trying to remember if I've ever posted on the Motherwell thread. Bless him.
  15. Has he been posting shallow wind-up attempts in Dundee match-day threads again?
  16. I'm just glad he got onto the park so the scout from AC Milan didn't have a wasted trip.
