  1. I don't think he was having a go at Kearney, tbf. We all know what he inherited. But I don't think Kearney would've matched this even if he'd taken over in the summer (2018) because the squad was decimated and needed a significant rebuild.
  2. There's been nothing between the two sides head-to-head this season. A 2-1 win apiece and now two draws. I'm not sure what levelling the wind was actually doing.
  3. Yous will be fine. No wins for weeks just wait untill St mirren role up we are the gift that keeps on giving when someone needs a lift. 3-0 Dons When was the last time we gave a lift to a team in terrible form? Genuine question.
  4. So Dennis might be back but Brophy's season is over? The f**k? To be fair, I'd rather have it that way round, but still.
  5. You avatar cropped at an unfortunate point while I was scrolling down this thread...
  6. If it helps I was just taking the piss out of Randomguy. I don't think he's a terrible signing for you, on the face of it.
  7. My football mood is fairly polaric at the moment. Buoyant or despondent. Currently the latter. I think a fully fit and firing Saints side would be completely capable of taking something from this game. Hell, we gave you a game much earlier in the season when we were still struggling. But injuries are spreading round our squad faster than... well, you can finish that sentence yourself. Its hard to see that it won't take its toll.
  8. Did Victor Genev and Djemba-Djemba not arrive under similar circumstances?
  9. Daily Record describing it as an 'ambitious' move on Kilmarnock's part. That's not the word I'd use.
  10. Can't argue with that. The biggest surprise it that it's come at the top of the pitch. I thought we were probably running with too many attackers and too few defenders but look at where we are now. Massive shame if this derails our season but we'll be fine and I have absolute faith in the management now. So if we miss out, it's fine... we can build next season when crowds are back.
  11. Ehhhh. Shite, that. I turned it off as the penalty hit the back of the net (I was working late so didn't need the distraction.) TBH, I'm reasonably happy to chalk it up as a very poor night at the office. We were two different teams either side of the injury, and McGrath going off really knocked our rhythm. I'm not playing 'what if' - I reckon Celtic would obviously still have come into the game and likely would have won - but the way we set about them at the start looked very promising. The wrongly-given penalty basically turned it from a very likely 1-0 into a 4-0 when our heads dropped. Most worrying is the loss of McGrath, the apparent loss of Brophy. Suddenly it's all heaped back on Obika. Who, tbf, played pretty well last night, but I think we've seen isn't the answer up top on his own. Lot of pressure on Quaner hitting the ground running.
  12. Jeeeesus. Nae luck. To me it looked like a subluxation as opposed to a full dislocation, so hopefully the damage is minimal. Still fucking painful though. I first did mine in Feb 2000 and I was definitely back playing rugby again a couple months later, and that was without professional physio, so fingers crossed he'll be back soon.
  13. That Scott Brown challenge not being carded was entirely in keeping with everything we've come to expect of Scottish football in the past decade or so.
  14. Yeah, there was nothing in it. Not to labour the point, but mine came out 13 times. I wonder if he's done it in the past: once it's been out once, it takes very little for it to happen again.
  15. Probably our best player out for a good few weeks there. Ballsacks.
  16. Thought our players looked absolutely frozen for the opening spells of the Hibs game, so I'm hoping we're a little more alert from the off this time.
  17. Right... an 'a these c***s is a tory, and nae c**t leaves here till we find out whit c**t it is.
  18. Surely it's so wide of the mark it barely even registers. Not an especially well-aimed barb, tbh.
  19. Having grown up surrounded by it, I was well into it in the 90s/early 00s. But I find it incredibly boring to watch nowadays. Certainly can't imagine paying the sort of subscription money demanded to watch it. I live pretty much equidistant from the Stadium of Light and St James's Park: if you climb a hill near my house you can see both grounds on a clear day. It's inevitable my boys will grow up supporting one or the other (as well as Saints, obviously) but honestly, I'd sooner they supported South Shields. Proper football, family club, cheap tickets, and you can have a pint and watch the game from the side.
  20. The League One league average is about 8.8k, though it's dragged up significantly by four teams that you would consider to be 'big' clubs by most measures and who have all been Premier League in not too distant history (Ipswich were top flight about 2000 ish). Even if you take the crude fans=£££ budget measure and exclude all other factors then you can see that we'd struggle to compete with most of these.
