Shaughnessy definitely falls into the "frequently a massive fucking liability" category for me. We definitely shaded the first period, and both their goals had touches of fortune (from their point of view) but it was also completely self destructive. I was mainly livid to see Jack Ross suddenly talking about 'stonewall' penalties not being given. The two crucial handballs we weren't given against Hibs earlier in the season seemed to have escaped his notice.

Just made the mistake of glancing at Twitter and saw a Rangers account claiming Celtic-minded Jim had only done this to plant thoughts in the ref's head ahead of, and I quote, a game 'that has got f**k all to do with his club'. The sub-class of obsessed OF roasters are such a weird breed.

I disagree. You see it far too often that players will use the period between committing an offence and being booked for it as an apparent free period in which you can commit other bookable offences with impunity. More refs should start counting them up and punishing them separately.

Looks like Mandroiu has just changed clubs. (I know he was just an example.)

If player safety was that important, then they'd punish all the breaches, and not just the ones that led to postponements.

Haha, I was very positive about him for a while, then he ground me down. I still think he has his uses, but he's certainly not good enough for where we aspire to be in the table. As is so often the case, if you combine two of our players, you'd have an absolute baller on your hands. Imagine taking McAllister's technique and vision and combining it with Morias's application, pace and physicality. Anyway... Came here to say we're only one win shy of last season's tally, having played 13 games fewer. Assuming this season gets finished, you'd have to say we'll be on for our best top flight finish in a generation.

MorIas deserves a start. Connolly was quiet against Hibs; Kyle has looked lively off the bench. I wonder if Obika's still struggling a bit, as I can't see why he'd be behind Erwin on merit.

I think it's at least an acknowledgement that they were wrong to award the points while there was chance of an appeal. Nobody's coming out of this looking good, mind.

Tbf all we've been doing since like 2015 is getting results that paper over cracks. We'll never be good and will have performances like last night for 95% of the season yet continue to stink up the Premiership. The nature of the league set up seems to allow that to happen. Not just you: us two years ago. We should never have stayed up, but Dundee were somehow worse. We were the same for several years under Gus McP. Scraping by, offering not much. I wonder if a change of set-up would help. It's a shame nobody ever talks about league reconstruction.

Take away Hamilton's forfeit points and the league looks more like that, tbf. With Motherwell down there on 16 as well. Whether it happens or not, that's at least a true reflection of how teams have performed so far.
