  1. In some tweets, he used the H word. In another, he joked about the Squinty Bridge collapsing while it was full of Rangers fans. He also referred to Rangers as Sevco. I only see one of the above as being truly problematic.
  2. Beats seeing that fucking pic of Alan Main. Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. Failure to act on this completely undermines any future position we may wish to take on sectarianism. Obviously, the hypocrisy from the mock-outraged, handbag-clutching Sevco knackers on Twitter is there for all to see, but whataboutery really must be avoided. He really should have had the sense to wipe his Twitter account and start from scratch when he became chairman. That said, the joke about the bridge is basically harmless in and of itself, poor taste or not. It's his use of the H word that will land him in hot water.
  3. It's more that what we've got to replace him is a decent enough player who isn't a million miles off contending to start. McAllister won't last the whole game but he's still a dangerous player. He also did well at Parkhead last season in the formation we are now playing.
  4. Agree that it's best to remove whataboutery from the situation... Sectarianism in all its forms should be eradicated. If that involves punitive measures for him/our club, then we need to be ready to take that on the chin.
  5. Tbf he seems to have survived being outed as a misogynistic racist so he might be ok yet.
  6. I was pleased with today. The quality Rangers have us always going to make these games tough, but seeing us actually set about them at the start was refreshing after so many meek non-performances against the cheeks in recent years. TBH, the loss of the three points pales next to the injury for McGrath. I really hope our excellent physios can work their magic on him and that he's not out for more than a few weeks, tops. That aside, we can confidently call ourselves a half-decent team. I hope the 3-6-1 suits Kiltie as much as it seems to suit pretty much everyone else (apart from Main).
  7. Just out of interest, what were the Saints fans singing to the tune of the Heartbeat theme last weekend? I couldn't make it out on my entirely legitimate stream.
  8. Yeah, it's an odd feeling, not having the usual dread going into a game like this. As you say, they'll almost certainly have too much for us, but I fancy our chances of making a game of it.
  9. We'll never know the exact figure until Callum Davidson confirms it via Randomguy.
  10. Sweating on Tanser; he'd be a huge miss if he's out. Hopefully it was just a slight tweak.
  11. I tend to tune in (when possible) and you tend to get a decent idea of how the game's going to pan out quite early on. If we're actually showing up then I'll usually stick with them. I had turned off the Parkhead game before Power was even off the park...
  12. I've not really been paying attention... What do you put your not-so-hot performances down to so far this season? Beyond 'nervousness at the back'. I was assuming you'd really kick on this season.
  13. Tend to agree. Though we must all be careful not to equate running around a lot with doing well (I'm not saying that's what you're doing here), the visibly increased effort we've seen from EE over the past three games has been a welcome sight. I suspect Power is the partner he's needed for a while now, and I think the pair of them have the makings of a very good partnership for us. As much as the 3-6-1 is getting the most out of Brophy and McGrath, I dare say it also suits Ethan as well because he has a couple of willing runners right in front of him for those neat forward passes that he's very capable of playing.
  14. Someone needs to give Malky the 'Hello darkness, my old friend' treatment there.
  15. The table is making some great reading tonight. Obviously too soon to get excited, and while three wins doesn't seem like many, it's the (only) 2 defeats that is really encouraging. I can't remember us making such a solid start in the league. Not going to start predicting safety yet, because we've seen how much things can change in the space of just three games, but I think we are a good measure better than the bottom three. I just hope Aberdeen give Glass and Brown plenty of time because they are fucking gash and it's hilarious.
  16. Interesting to hear Cammy was St Johnstone's best player today. The downside is this thread will soon be rammed with Fakes fans telling us the good news.
  17. Just to add, fair play to County for making a game of that. I honestly believed we were going to win 4/5-1 after about 10 mins of the second half, but that was far from comfortable by the end.
  18. I think the game swung on those County subs, and also McGrath went off a cliff, tiredness-wise. The past 10 days he's had were bound to take their toll. Without his energy and movement, County dominated. Hilarious penalty appeal from Hungbo, by the way. To be fair, the only reason it might have been given was because the ref had been giving them that sort of shite all afternoon. That said, what a game that was. Generally really entertaining. I hope Tanser's hamstring is ok because he didn't look massively happy with that.
