  1. A response to Berwick Rangers statement from EKFC's manager. It's the lower league SPFL clubs that have continually fought this idea. Which is why its ended up at Lowland League level.
  2. That old chestnut. We can however have 17/18/19 team leagues for 7 seasons if the proposal goes through with the extension. While the league's counterpart in the Highland continues to exceed 16 teams just because.
  3. Going by the PDF its a guarantee for two seasons. Great how 16 teams (2 of whom might not be in the league next season, let alone the year after) get to decide something like this. Aye right!
  4. And you would expect the Chairman to break the tie in favour of the Colts again. As it was along the lines as being in the best interests of the league due to the money involved.
  5. Board will back it since two teams bring in 100k. 64k to the LL teams, leaving 36k to help administer the running of the league. Not like they'd get that from sponsorship. That's how they'd justify supporting the idea. As well as the usual benefiting Scottish football fantasy land nonsense.
  6. Title fight looks like it will stay interesting heading into the 2nd half of the season.
  7. Seems to be I thought they scrapped the over-aged outfielder from the original proposal. Must have been added this season as part of any other changes. Of course the rules for the guest teams aren't available online.
  8. Yes, but how many have the prospect of 3 home games or 3 away games based on a single draw? The only ones I can think of where there's a fixed bracket is when seeding has been involved.
  9. By the sounds of the complaints they did an open draw for the 1st round and filled in the bracket. It's 16 teams they either could have done an open draw for each round. Then still made a graphic. Or they could have done the 1st and 2nd Rounds and done the semi-final draw another time.
  10. Are there that many non-seeded cup competitions with a set bracket after a single draw? Made worse if its true that top of the ties is always at home in a single game.
  11. Don't think its too surprising based on the past few years. Albion Rovers look to be more of a mid-table side once they play catch-up.
  12. Quite enjoyed this week's and the previous specials. I do think the ending undercuts things.
  13. The playoff is changing to a 12 team format. The way that was intended to be was the 6 highest ranked Conference champions and 6 highest ranked teams outwith that. So there would be at least the one champion from outside the Power 5. After realignment this format might be tweaked.
  14. The horse has well and truly bolted on anything like that. Where once there were 10 regionally decent Conferences with some independents. That did have a Big 5 / Bottom 5 idea in term of quality. Chasing increasing media rights values has led to lots of jockeying for position. Think this map might be the best illustration of what's happening with the Power 5 Conferences next year.
  15. Happy to see the end of the 4-team play-off. I even preferred the BCS era. "I wish my leg broke earlier in the season" and apologising aren't the sort of takes an undefeated season should bring. QB position unfortunately gave the committee the excuse to leave Florida State out.
  16. All the sky games this week are being shown on ABC stateside. It must be a package deal for international rights that Disney/ESPN bundle together.
  17. American Athletic Conference is going head to head with the SEC Championship game.
  18. They're kinda jinxed when it comes to Danielson and injuries, but they are leaning very heavily into him making it this year. With a recent interview hinting it'd be his last match*. I do think getting the Final Countdown would be a decent selling point for a reasonable amount of people. Although a match v. Nigel McGuinness might a little too inside baseball for the casuals. *As a regular/full-time member of the roster. Whatever that's going to look like.
  19. Just wait until you hear his Rampage promo going by what's online. This should have been fairly easy. The motley crew of Best Friends: OC, HOOK, Danhausen, and Trent. Didn't even need to be matches just coming out with the bat to aid against interference. These Texas shows coming up Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee as a Trios. The association with Ric Flair's put a real downer on the retirement run. I'm half expecting Ric Flair to turn on him and Revolution becomes a joint retirement match with them wrestling in a tag against each other.
  20. I don't think nothing was done. Punk was handed the keys to Collision is it would become obvious working with everyone on Dynamite wouldn't work. Should have just cut bait after All Out. Chasing that TV deal and keeping WBD happy has been costly in other ways. The Bucks/Elite were fans of Punk. There's some BTE live streams and Q&As on their channel where they talk about him in positive terms and wanted him back in wrestling. I don't know if the "not getting in touch the right way" was about AEW, but perhaps All In. He was sounded out about doing basically anything he wanted to do. In the end he did his own ProWrestlingTees signing if I remember right. The 2018-19 talks about bringing him into the startup were very real and a major what if? https://wrestletalk.com/news/cm-punk-talks-aew-tony-khan-2019/ https://www.ringsidenews.com/2019/11/13/cm-punk-met-with-tony-khan-personally-about-big-money-aew-contract/ From Tony Khan: https://tjrwrestling.net/news/tony-khan-on-signing-cm-punk/
  21. Teams at Troon's tier or lower that are members of the SFA. More a case of why not?
