  1. Yeah, that's not how it works Need to back it up with
  2. Probably the only Walking Dead I plan to keep up with now is the Rick series. Which now has a name of TWD: The Ones Who Live and is infinitely more interesting than the rest by the fact it has cast Terry O'Quinn.
  3. It was laid out how this was going to go. Juice wins the Battle Royale - faces MJF - Juice would then intends to use the quarters but MJF would instead give Juice his comeuppance. I don't think its the last we've seen of the quarters as I still see them playing part in the finish. The video package is no coincidence because the whole angle was intended to raise awareness on anti-semitism.
  4. Unless there's a been further changes the competition only takes revenue from the final.
  5. Love the line that's going around about solve the problem by joining the cup. Has it gone full participation trophy where you never get knocked out?
  6. Don't think any fan is particularly comfortable with it being brought into a bit of televised escapsim. Pointless for those trying to defend it as 'Juice being Juice, he's used quarters all these other times'. Those involved certainly aren't pretending its something else. They know the roles they are acting out. "Tonight that piece of shit, Juice Robinson decided to bring up a story from my childhood that has left me scared. I’m glad he did. He brought awareness to something we’ve all gone through in one way, shape, or form in our lives. On behalf of anyone who’s ever been bullied for being different in any capacity. I look forward to leaving him scared too. I also look forward to this Thursday #StandUpToJewishHate"
  7. And its a stance that requires querying if there's a desire to expand to 18. Originally the argument was around getting the season completed in time for the play-off. Introduction of floodlights to licencing resolved those concerns. This is now the 3rd season with at least 18 teams. Scheduling isn't an issue. The SFA handling the discipline isn't an issue. Availability of match officials isn't an issue.
  8. Nyla Rose made it at least vaguely interesting since it was a break from the norm during Jade's TBS title run. Which was a low-level B Tier feud in the Women's Division. Not the main event of a future PPV in expectations. I doubt the belt will be in Jay's possesion too long to be much of an angle. I mean, they dropped any mystery over his masked man beatdown in record time! Taking MJF and Max Caster's bromance to the TV screen I can see leading to MJF & The Acclaimed v. Bullet Club Gold on Collision. Since that kind of 8-man tag fits what we often see from that show's format.
  9. Seems like they had plans for Baylan Skoll. I hope they recast the character, rather than kill him off earlier than intended. It was a great performace from Ray Stevenson.
  10. That's Stonehaven into the guaranteed "prize money" rounds on a walk-over. As well as a spot in the 2nd Round used by a club on a bye unable to meet their commitments. A lot of these EoS withdrawals seem to happen quite last minute despite obvious conflicts which must lead to further frustrations for their opponents. Are Camelon banned from next season's draw at the very least?
  11. At the minute we've got a combined deal between the BBC and Viaplay (originally Premier Sports). Presumably because it was worth more than either Sky or BT ( now TNT Sports) were willing to pay. I don't think they took the first offer in this instance. They jumped at the best financial offer.
  12. It was changed in the last couple of years. I think 2020-21 was either the first season of the new method or the last of the old one. Certainly not the first season of this being the case.
  13. 43 sat at home. Done it all at that level. Even that stint in NXT. Supposedly had interest in leaving when his last contract was up, but that was when WWE were offering silly money to keep people from AEW. I'm not sure what he'll do. Don't think he's a major pick up. Depends on how motivated he is, but I can see another Johnny TV/Hennigan type. Where they have a lot of z-list side projects (like his comedy career) and wrestling just pays some bills. Someone I'd rather see go to Impact if he's looking to carry on wrestling.
  14. Smackdown is leaving FOX. Returning to USA. Will be interesting to see how that goes with RAW, Smackdown, and NXT likely all on the same network. In the past the focus usually shifted onto RAW as the A-show.
  15. Babyface Mox was the blueprint in many ways for OC. Just toss him out there in random matches and eat up 10-15 minutes. He gets a harsh rep on the blood front. Most recent singles matches he hasn't bled. Hell, he even managed to avoid it in the 3 way from Dynamite 200 unless you're counting the thumbtacks spot he took. It was Trent that bladed. It's because he's out there so often and in high profile matches if he isn't bleeding, his opponent could be.
  16. And clubs potentially turned the game down just like last year. As they would rather have the crowds than the BBC Scotland pittance on a Monday night.
  17. All of the dirtsheets struggle in the podcast/social media era. They're sat in front of a mic 5+ days a week and endlessly skimming twitter the rest of the time. Opinions and thoughts are aggregated as facts. I think it was Sean Ross Sapp that just repeated a question he was asked in a super chat and it was picked up as "SRS said..." But that's where the money is. Just like any gossip rag they have to lean into it.
  18. Could always ask, they went with the Highland League last season.
  19. I think he's taking the piss because it's like picking Celtic or Rangers to win the Premiership. Gretna 08 or Edinburgh University isn't much of a prediction.
  20. It's a bit of a tangent, but I really hate the way some of the people in the business talk about ppv buys. For years TNA got hit with the stick of only doing 30k-40k buys, but that was traditional PPV providers domestic to the US. It was an era before internet/streaming PPVs became established and most international markets (like the UK) the shows were sold to their TV partner. It's great that AEW are doing around 140k and sometimes higher. That's being cobbled together from FITE and multiple providers around the world. When the likes of Meltzer compares what AEW do to WCW and ECW it's incredibly disingenuous. All that said. The first WM I remember having to buy as a PPV was either WM20 or WM21. WM17 would have been in the top 5 buys if the UK and other markets weren't getting it for free. Cena ain't that great
  21. As far as im aware he hasnt done a grid for the LL yet. So there's nothing to post. It was only the first few weeks of the EoS which are in that forum.
  22. Tony Khan saw the price tag for Mercedes Mone and Edge. Knew he had to trade in his old console to fund the new one
