This. I have no idea of the process of leukemia treatments, so I'm happy to be proved wrong, but essentially four months away seems...short? Obviously if he's fit and healthy enough to get back in the ring in that time, then more power to the guy, it's brilliant news. Personally I think he'll just be back to give an update. People are talking about RAW now because of it, so there doesn't really need to be this big angle. All he needs to do is come out and say that he's doing well, then give a bland face-ish promo about how he's going to keep fighting and will be back in the ring as soon as he can. DU-NUN...DU-NUN...DU-NUN...DUN DUN and off he goes. Lesnar's no booked to appear is he? Imagine him coming out and threatening physicality with him. Ooft. Ideally they would, but it seems like something they're really not that into anymore. With their weekly shows they seem far more of a fan of "this guys returning, so they'll watch this week" rather than "he returned last week as a surprise, I'm definitely watching this week". I can understand that, but it's a shame that we don't get too many proper surprise moments. What was the last one of that type? Rollins returning from injury? Hardys at WM? Undertaker coming back for Brock? They're quite thin on the ground now.

While they've gotten away with stuff about as bad, I just think they'd be absolutely suicidal to do something like this. It's not so much that people are thinking it. I can have it cross my mind and think that it would be quite the work, but discount it. But certain people are getting really, reeeeeally pissy when people call them out on it. Seem to genuinely not see that suggesting a guy's tragic second bout of leukemia is just a work is more than a little unsavoury. Is people's hate for either Roman himself, or the way he's been built as a character, so deep that they're willing to jump to that? Almost makes me hope more and more that he's coming back now to main event WM.

I've only played a handful of games over the past few weeks, just really enough to get Rivals rewards. I've spent all my time on the apps building up a team that I'll rarely play with. Seems more interesting to do than actually playing at times.

There seems to be growing chat of people "just asking questions" on the subject of this whole thing being a work. I mean...Jesus fucking Christ.

I stopped around 68% when I got the PS4 Pro, so going back through everything. Tedious for the most part, but getting a few missions I missed earlier, including one of the debt collector ones where you have to get a legendary cougar pelt. f**k that mission right in its dark, confusing mapped face. Thing can attack you from any angle, and if you have your weapon out you can't see anything. Tried a few times of randomly firing in the dark and mashing circle to fight him off if he jumps before I finally got off a lucky shot.

I think Black is a definite, there's nothing left for him. Ricochet too maybe, after dropping the NA Title. Nothing really left for him with others coming up. I'd imagine Ciampa and Gargano aren't done in NXT. They're clearly building towards something between the two titles, and still have to explore a heel DIY.

Or he's Meltzing it, and it won't be. Plans change and awrat.

From memory, I think if you put the "GPS" on, it'll guide you pretty much straight into death. You cross a stream at some point just as you come into new territory. From there if you hug the coast towards where you're going, you'll not run into anyone.

I gave in and did the Base Icon SBC. Got Veron. It's the hope that kills you. Noticed that Nedved has another 20 days to run though, and after rinsing all my good untradeables through the base icon, no real need to rush on that one. I bought RTTF Perisic for his spot, with Inter 1-0 up after the first leg (an away goal), he should be due an upgrade at the end of the week. Although knowing my luck Inter will get pumped 8-0 or something.

To be fair, compared to this, Elder Scrolls Online seems like a modern classic

I was going to stay away from the base SBC but I'm edging slowly towards it, trying desperately to look away. I've sold Giggs with a view to dumping all of the coins into Nedved (sacrificing Nakata, because he's pish), but after that with all my untradeables, I expect I'll have at least 500k left over. May just try one go around... Haven't played an actual game in ages though to be honest. I've been spending all of my time in the app spamming bronze packs, keeping the good leagues for SBCs and the shite ones into upgrades. I've ended up with about 10 highly rated golds out of the resulting packs and a few IFs, and I'm probably only down the price of one high-rated player overall. Good returns if you put the time in, but fucking tedious otherwise. Still, it beats actually playing the game at times.

How come Lawless is there?

Yeah, it went probably from what could have made Reigns to being probably the worst thing that could happen to him. He was having to lug around a largely lifeless Undertaker, who struggled to get Reigns up himself. I don't think I've seen as outright sad a match as that for a long time. They almost salvaged it with Reigns "heel" promo the day after, but...well, look what happened there. Finn Balor could get built into a decent story, particularly if they turn him more heel. In my mind, the only thing they could really do is have a heel come in and properly destroy him. A proper scheme booting. It doesn't really "gain his respect" or anything, but I'm not sure Taker really has it in him anymore to have the sort of 30 minute match where they both leave in each others arms ala him/HHH/HBK. I remember hearing someone suggest Ciampa, which would be something. Not sure it'd work though.

I'm surprised that that hasn't ever really seemed on the cards. He seems fairly old school, and I would've thought going out on your back putting someone over would be the way he'd go. Seems like he'd rather just drift off instead without a big ending. I guess he had the Roman match - was that always penned in as the end before it actually started, and everyone realised it was a massive fucking car wreck that didn't deserve to end things? If he was to wrestle at WM this year, I'm sure they could write a decent enough final, short retirement match.

For those at the game, did we look pretty good? Only managed to catch little bits of it on the radio, but scoreline and stats look pretty comfortable.

They should just promote us again right away. We're pure amazin.

I'm going to do my level best to stay away from the base icon SBC. Just can't see me getting anything decent out of it, and I'd rather not leave so much chance in an SBC that would likely be at least 6 figures. I've built up a few high-rated players, but I'd be losing them all to get a player probably worse than a few of the players I already have. I'll hold out until the next Icon SBC that interests. May fire into the Ligue 1 upgrade though, believe that has the best chance of something decent out of it due to the lack of players compared to other leagues. Don't really need to stick to Serie A anymore with icons in the side.

That's still miles better than whatever imagined exchange he had in the Clyde Tunnel this week. Particularly when it's a massive weakness in his game by all accounts.

In all seriousness though, even though he's completely gone physically, surely that would be the most painful thing Vince could experience if he had to watch Taker appear for another company. Even an appearance would bring big money purely for the spectacle to any new company.

It's what a lot of people do best. Where a lot of English fans are absolutely desperate to point and laugh at how poor our football is, a lot of Scottish fans are desperate to retort. I know which I'd rather watch, but I don't feel the need to do so by putting another league down. Apart from the Premier League. That's fucking tedious.
