  1. I honestly don’t see anyone leaving in January other than maybe Halkett, and I think the only way he’ll go is if he’s forced to go because the club has received a good offer for a player out of contract in the summer. These guys love playing with each other, they love playing for the club, I’m very confident we won’t see wholesale selling in January, the summer might be a different story though.
  2. Trip to Portugal for some warm weather training, and a friendly against Vitesse in amongst that. How times have changed for the club
  3. You didn’t receive anything from me directly because Callum was the one dealing with it, I didn’t have your email to send anything to, he, Callum asked me for advice on positions that you had sent and I sent him a list of changes that imo weren’t correct, which he has then sent you im sure. At no point did I have to directly email you as Callum was in control of that process, I was merely helping him which is what I said, in fact at no point did I say in my post that I’d sent you anything, all I said was that I helped Callum with player positions which is entirely true so I didn’t consciously decide to omit anything. As ATLIS has said above I’ve never seen anything advertised so I can’t help if I know nothing about it.
  4. Strange they’ve not put Lamie as a wing back, and Keaghan as a winger rather than a midfielder, I helped Callum Carson with the positions, stats etc and both where listed as they should be a CB and LWB and Keags was listed as a MC or DM. Sounds like they’ve completely ignored what we sent them
  5. Yep imagine the outcry if one of the “big 4” had a game moved to Friday night having also played on the Tuesday.... Yet again TV wins.
  6. Im sure I asked a price for Halkett to get capped within 5 years with mcbookie last season and got quoted 3/1
  7. Personally I feel comparing Kaja and Burns is a bit unfair, Burns has played what 20 minutes for us so far, Kaja was excellent at Celtic Park, our best player infact BUT, since then I feel he hides a little, not surprised he struggling to get into the side.
  8. There is no way in hell we are going to keep a hold of Halkett, as much as it pains me to say. He will have ambitions of a Scotland call and as wrong as it is won’t be able to fulfill them with us... Our best bet would be to try and do a deal in January to get some money for him but get to keep him until the summer.
  9. Pretty sure Byrne was a 2 year deal in the summer, But could be wrong.
  10. Good luck to him, got some iffy reports from Falkirk fans when we signed him but having watched the colts games and 2 or 3 reserve games he’s impressed me every time, hope he does well and gets plenty game time. One to keep an eye on for the future.
  11. Yeh they’ve sold out and we’ve got under 100 left for the home end, minus the costs we will probably make 150k from the game which is huge for us.
  12. Our allocation is 2300 which is the main stand, Rangers have sold out the 7300 tickets they had received (North, East and South stands) making the capacity 9500ish.
  13. Aberdeen beating Hibs tonight will mean our league game scheduled for the 27th October will now have to be rearranged.
  14. A fantastic win for our brothers at home to St Mirn today and a creditable draw for ourselves at Tynecastle #Thediddyalliance continues to flourish despite the doubters
  15. About 60 odd tickets left from our allocation of around 500 for tomorrows match, not a bad effort . Tickets still being sold up to 1pm tomorrow at the reception so hopefully a few more late tickets bought yet.
  16. Tbf the team we had out tonight would be very comfortable against full strength league 1 teams never mind a league 2 reserve teams. Shows how strong a squad we have.
  17. Well not necessarily, ofcourse that is one reason but not all, btw I’m not having a dig at St Mirren in anyway, it’s a good move imo. We got criticised for signing players pre season despite not having a manager, that’s been proved to be a good move. We get criticised because our assistant manager does a lot of shouting on the sidelines despite the fact that nearly every assistant in the country does the same. We get criticised because our previous manager left, they blamed that on our assistant manager which is also nonsense. Kenny Miller left because of him too, also not the case, but that fits in well for the press with all the above despite no evidence to show. As ive said it’s a great move by St Mirren, it’s worked very very well for us having a “constant presence” working within the “football department” to keep continuety.
  18. That statement was tongue in cheek, of coarse changing his title to technical director wouldn’t make a difference because of his hands on approach. My point is Gus is being brought in at St Mirren to do the job that Martindale has been doing, the job that has been much criticised by those outwith the club.
  19. Exactly this, can’t someone move on and become a better person ? I’ve spoken to Davie on many occasions and he’s a good guy who is as passionate about the football club as anyone I’ve ever met. The work he does in the background goes completely unnoticed, what other assistant manager is down at the club laying carpets in reception etc. These stories about him being the man running the show are extremely disrespectful to the guys in the boardroom who have been working so hard to make the model work for this football club and it’s also extremely disrespectful to the work Hoppy done, think it says everything that they continue with these stories without asking Hoppy himself about the situation, the fact he wanted Martindale to go to Bradford with him to form part of his backroom team puts to bed any kind of fall out argument that continues to get peddled by some in the media.
  20. Surely this structure that St Mirren are bringing in will never work ? Crazy to think we have basically gone with this structure but got hounded by the press for it. Maybe if we changed Davie Martindale’s title to technical director we wouldn’t get as much criticism about it ?
  21. He confirmed it on Twitter, gutted for him tbh, been trying and trying to return to the premiership and then gets injured and will miss half the season. Its a blow for us for sure but with Hardie coming back, the breakthrough of Hamilton, Menga and Robinson who can both play up top I think we will cope with this loss better than people think.
  22. Don’t worry I done the same on Twitter, tweeted saying good start for Hoppy at 2-0
