Robbo has already hit the clause in his contract for an automatic renewal, was just sorting out details but was 100% certain he’d be at the club next season. As for Knox I’ve saw him many times in the reserves and he’s never stood out, the lad obviously has potential but it’s just not working out. I always look back at the scougalls and the McNultys etc playing at 16, 17 and making a difference, if Knox was good enough he’d be in the team by now. I’ve seen more from the lad Craig Henderson that excites me. Good luck to Knoxy, I hope it works out for him but I can’t imagine he’ll be at Livi beyond this season.

You say that but I’m sure I saw somewhere that Hamilton have the 9th biggest budget this season, we’d have to increase our budget next season considerably and them reduce theirs to get near them.

nah it’s cool, no offence taken, i understand why you’d think that listening to just the interview. As I say because we are really new to it all, any feedback is properly taken on board, we want to get as good at it as we can and represent the club as well as we can.

Thank you so much for that feedback, it is greatly appreciated. We are fairly new to it all, this was only our 7th episode and none of us have a back ground in podcasting or audio work so we are just about getting by just now haha. We do actually record using a laptop though audacity and a proper podcasting mic (blue yeti) but the interview was interrupted by a constant and very loud humming noise from outside the room we done the interview in (very frustrating) and had to edit it out which I agree made the interview sound a tad robotic, the sound quality should be that of the chat between the lads but as I say due to the humming noise I had to try and edit it out which made it almost impossible for perfect audio. The club has been outstanding with us, we’ve been allowed access to the club every week to chat with a player or a coach etc and really support us, as you say we have to be a tad careful we aren’t over critical but we haven’t had to be anyway as everything has been going very well, I’m sure in the future that problem might crop up again. Again thank you so much for the feed back, it really means a lot and for listening as well.

Tbh I can’t tell you much more than what’s been said already, I was aware of a rumour that he was stepping down at the end of the season to take on a new business of his own, perhaps that opportunity has came sooner than expected. What I would say having spoken to John many times is he is a man of principle, he wouldn’t step away from the club if there wasn’t something in place and he didn’t trust the people their to continue to run it well. What I would say is it would be nice for the club to make a wee statement just to keep the fans in the loop and to ease any fears about the future of the football club. On John himself, he’s been a tremendous asset to the football club, he has came in at a fairly turbulent time and to say things have calmed down off the pitch would be an understatement, and that has a lot to do with John and his business mind, looking back to this time in the future John Ward will be rightly hailed as one of our best ever board room members. Let’s hope the future is bright.

Was just trying to be controversial eh haha. I agree, the one I’ve enjoyed the most so far despite being rough as hell during recording, really does help when you turn the mic on for the interviews as well.

Robbo mentioned to me during the podcast interview that the clause has been met and that he’ll be with us next season...Lawless said that he is very close to extending his stay at the club, Miller wants to be here next season and has had discussions with the club also. Think Tiffoney is under contract for next season, as is Rafa who signed a 2 year deal just before the playoff games. Think this was inevitable that our players are going to get interest, we are performing well and punching above our weight, I don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion that Pitts will go though, fingers crossed he won’t.

That part of the podcast has been the most enjoyable to do actually, all about opinions at the end of the day which is why we put it out to a vote. Ludo Roy was the overall winner for the goalkeeper position, personally I’d have went for Bullock but democracy rules unless it’s about Brexit

Now loads of clubs have drums, Livi = trend setters Preferred the one when the Winter Olympics where on, he tied a frying pan to a brush and pretended to sweep the frying pan into the centre circle simulation curling

Think it’s great this is finally up and running, I understand what you’re saying about £6.50 but Derek White said on twitter this is the standard fee for special delivery via the post office, I agree about the £1 fee for the online option, that to me should be free, but again Derek said that’s a fee to facilitate the process, not quite sure what that means right enough Ive asked the club about away tickets and have been told that away tickets can be purchased via a different link that will be sent to visiting clubs so they can put it on there website and social media etc. I also mentioned the “Livingstone” issue, and they have already emailed the company to get this sorted and aren’t overly happy that this has happened. All in all I feel that it’s great to see the club professionalising a bit, this system although not perfect solves the problem for fans who aren’t able to get to the ground before match day.

Yeh it was a back up copy of the interview, our Audio is usually better than that but for some reason our mic had a bit of a moment and stopped working, luckily we had the dictaphone going as well so that gave us the back up. Thanks for giving it a listen and for the feedback, much appreciated.

On the deal with Nike I’m not too bothered either way, I really like this season’s kits and I don’t mind FBT stuff but I’ve noticed the service has been pretty poor, slow delivery, shop never stocked up, and I believe this was a business decision as well so got to take that into account. I’ve no idea what to expect from Nike but I’m sure some will like the new kits and others won’t, that’s the way of the world and it’s all down to individual taste.
