  1. There’s the first one, Steven Lawless, good bit of business by the club, top flight experience and a position we desperately needed to cover. Still two to come, 1 tomorrow, 1 on Friday maybe ?
  2. Quitongo I believe is just doing his rehab with us, that deal looks dead, unlikely he’s coming to us so Hearts could be a shout. Not anymore he’s not, as far as I’m aware.
  3. 2 wingers who both played in Scotland last season and a defender on loan from down south.
  4. Lithgow has been immense the last couple of seasons for us, no one can argue with that, most including me didn’t think he’d be able to make the step up to championship football, he did and was one of our top performers. This season though we are playing yet another league up, can he make that step up again ? I felt he looked well off the pace in our pre season game down at a Queens and then wasn’t brilliant against Airdrie, I wasn’t surprised he was dropped to the bench for Hamilton. I personally thought Saunders was very good yesterday, some of his cross field passes were outstanding, and he was very strong defensively. I reckon we will go with 4 or 5 at the back more often than not this season, Lithgow will defo be a useful player to have in the squad, but I think he’s going to be backup this season.
  5. Came on against Morton with about 15 minutes left, done ok but in 15 minutes it’s hard to really judge. East Fife fans raved about him but it just didn’t work out at Livi, he moved onto Airdrie so maybe better asking them.
  6. Showed glimpses, has a good bit of pace about him, strong on the ball too, potential to be an important player for us this season.
  7. Gabriel Quitadamo going by tonight is worth a deal, was very tidy on the ball and strong defensively. Not convinced by any of the others, the boy Yartley showed glimpses but strikes me as a 1 in 4 good game type player. Good run out tonight with a very fringe looking side, Byrne was excellent in the middle, Hamilton done his best but had very little to work with, Saunders was solid, worry seeing Sibbald come off but it looked more precautionary.
  8. I’m not having a dig at anyone on here, I haven’t actually read many of the comments so can’t say whether I agree or disagree with any of it, I’m just making a statement based on what I’ve seen and heard on social media and at the games. I understand what people are saying, I agree that if he is to play he should play as a striker and nothing else but dropping deeper has always been a part of his game for Rangers, Celtic and Scotland, this isn’t new to his style of play. What ive heard at the games so far have been sarcastic cheering when he came off against Hamilton and shouts of get yourself off Miller at the Annan game, this indirectly affects the fans around these shouts and encourages negativity, something that’s not been there the last couple of seasons.
  9. My worry is people have already made a judgement on his ability to do the job before the season has even started, the amount of comments I’ve seen on social media already criticising him is just a bit silly really. Hes came into a situation that is very difficult anyway, we are in a league no one expected us to be in, our manager left on such a high that the next guy coming in regardless of who it was is going to be on a hiding to nothing. We are unbeaten in the cup but despite that he’s getting criticism, imagine what it’s going to be like when we lose 3 or 4 in a row, and that will likely happen in the league. I understand the concerns that he’s going to play himself and then think about coaching but I’m very confident that Martindale has had this discussion with him and I’m very confident Miller will be a very good asset on the pitch, if I was picking the team he’d be playing. I think we all need to get right behind him from the start, continue the positive vibe that’s been circulating the club the last couple seasons and see what happens.
  10. Just saw someone say on the Facebook forum that the replica tops are a far more forgiving than the playing ones so we may get away with it.
  11. I’ll definitely be getting both, I’ll need to get triple XL so that it’s no skin tight though
  12. Exactly, what did they expect, it was all over twitter before I even posted it on here, I just don’t know what they expected, I’m stunned if that’s someone involved with the club and very disappointed. My thoughts exactly, it’s a stunning top that I love, and I’ll be buying.
  13. And btw I don’t stand for threats either, yes I did screen grab it.
  14. It’s hardly leaking the kit, I signed up to get the early preview, nothing was said about keeping it quiet when I done so ???? Its on the Livi forum too, you going to shut that down ?
  15. Ah right, my bad, thought you’d played more, looked sharper and far more prepared, all that time waiting to see who the next manager was has clearly not helped. Not too worried though, feel with us keeping most of the squad it shouldnt take long before they click.
  16. Very shaky at the back tonight, Kelly looked like a rabbit caught in headlights a few times. I’m worried about our wing backs, don’t think either side lived up to Mullin and Jacko. I’m going to put tonight down to rustiness, and tbf that’s only our second game and Queens I think have now played 5. More positively Cadden looks fit and raring to go and Kenny Miller was the best player on the park for long spells. Sibbald had some nice touches but it was very apparent we are behind in terms of preparation and I worry we aren’t ready for competitive action next week. As has been said Gomis was poor, not any better than what we have, in fact very much worse, other Trialist who came on struggled to get in the game but felt for him a bit as he came on when we had a second string side out and weren’t doing much attacking. Goalkeeper, 2 wingers and another striker is what I’d be looking to bring in.
  17. Can’t see there being anything in that, we can loan him as has been established and we couldn’t afford his wages.
  18. Very happy that this is finally going to be resolved at last, it’s been a long time coming. Playing wise it is a great coup by the club, yes he’s 38 but he may very well be the difference between us staying up or going down. Coaching, well it’s yet to be seen how he gets on, he’s played under some top managers in his career, he’s played at the highest level, he should have some experience under his belt. With DM and the rest of the backroom staff doing most of the work anyway this may well be a shrewd move by the club. He will get my 100% backing, now looking forward to the season starting, we are massive underdogs but it may well be another season to remember.

  20. Don’t be angry at us because Falkirk are serial failures in the league below us. Maybe it’ll be your time this time
  21. Hopkin had a couple jobs lined up, he didn’t get them, he felt it best to leave Livingston instead of looking like he was throwing himself at every job re Jack Ross. I’m 100% sure he’s sitting at home probably regretting that decision now, that’s the chance he took, it didn’t pay off. He went out on a high and his stock is as high as it’ll probably get at this stage of his managerial career, he’ll be linked to just about every job that comes up, he’s a man of integrity, and didn’t want to string us along. What you are talking is pish.
