  1. Taleggio is the best cheese to go on a burger. Anyway, back on topic. George Ezra's music is an absolute joy. Liz Hurley is a mutt.
  2. It's an odd one for sure. I'm not sure about those saying that Clarke doesn't want to call him up just to sit on the bench, because Gauld has said that Clarke hasn't been in touch at all. He's probably a less athletic version of Christie, but I might be wrong about the athletic bit.
  3. Dons home tops have been pretty boring for a while now. I was talking to a mate there about your 1995 Northsound effort which is your best strip of the last 20 years. I'd love it if there were risks taken (as with your away top) but you're never going to get that with Adidas. It's the same safe dull top each time.
  4. Mate I'm a full kit w****r 40 year old whenever I play 5's. Never too old for that.
  5. The fermer's top is a belter. Reminds me of the lovely Famous Grouse effort you lads had a while back.
  6. Never thought I'd be saying "Mon the banks" , but here we are.
  7. That's a smashing fact. I live in "lower deeside" so see them occasionally when I'm out and about. Once I saw a family of three just happily (or grumpily, I didn't enquire) swimming down the river. Absolutely made my day.
  8. I think it's good marketing. My cousin's burd (now wife) requested one when we had it before, and she always disliked football. I don't have data for this, but I reckon we have more female fans now and they'll love it. The same cousin's wee daughter picked it out at the shop today also. I don't get the hate for the Raith kit. I'm an absolute sucker for tartan on football tops, especially tops with a collar.
  9. Strip launch today looked a massive success. Greaves have sold out of the home top completely. A small selection of players modelling it and taking pictures really greased the wheels of that. Jags tops all over town now. The boy Williams looks a well built laddie and modelled the home top handsomely. The buzz was fantastic around the City. The club have played a blinder here.
  10. The scales on the Celtic kit a reference to St Pat getting rid of Eire's snakes?
  11. Ftfy, if you're referring to McGinlay's goal.
  12. V Holland in Euro 96 immediately springs to mind.
  13. I would be very ok with assassination being visited upon any one of these god bothering cowards. Ted Cruz being at the very front of that queue.
  14. When I worked at TGI's the food had to be, and these were their very words, "Instagram ready". Fuckin boke. Anyway, I'm sure @johnnydun has some opinions on this given his boy is going for a Michelin star. My issue with the JCB type cake is how do you cut it up for the weans without creating a Barney? Bairns are absolute communists when it comes to division of cake and will start a civil war if they get less than their pal.
  15. That Dumbarton top will take some beating as the best in the country this year. I'm a sucker for a collar and the crest is just lovely. An utter peach.
  16. I tell this story til I'm blue in the face, but during that game against Italy in 2007 Lippi made two substitutions (of the 3) and a further tactical change (putting Di Natale on him) to try and stop Hutton from bombing forward. He couldn't. Hutton was absolutely unplayable that day. Honestly if it weren't for horrendous injuries he would have went to the top. So many games you'd see him making 40-50 yards with the ball, sometimes running through the midfield with it. He's my favourite Scotland player not currently playing. Bloody loved him.
  17. I never used to get Craig Brown when he was Scotland manager. He was affable, gentle and seemed like he wouldn't say boo to a goose, yet he would manage to motivate fighting displays from Scotland teams continually. You never had any gutless displays under him and he could be quite ruthless with players too. Obviously there was a real difference between his public, private and dressing room personae that my teenage self didn't quite get. We saw a bit of it when he was at Motherwell and got into a scrap with someone. Obviously not a man to be trifled with. Ach, as my fellow Harry said above, I feel grief for part of my youth, not just the man. He was from a different era and had a calm, schoolmasterly aura about him. I hope the dolly burds in heaven form an orderly queue.
  18. I honestly thought you were using some "on fleek" type yoof patter.
  19. I watched the original recently and it's not that good, certainly not as good as I recall, so it was perhaps worthy of a better remake. This wasn't it. Hannigan is supposed to be grotesque, not Cameron Diaz. Also, "Hard Knock Life" changed the lyrics to "foster home" instead of "orphanage" which didn't have the same Dickensian impact. Coupled with the fact that the foster home looks lovely and it feels a bit incongruent. I pure fancy Rose Byrne though. 10/10
