  1. Fucking hell, he's only 17 and he looks absolutely brilliant already. I'm not normally one to get hyped up (lies) but he'll be in the senior Scotland squad before the year is out. Marvellous wee player.
  2. I'm from East Kilbride, but I recall visiting friends of my parents in Dalkeith as a youngster and we got a chippy on the way home. Life changing.
  3. Salt and chippy sauce and I will join you in dying on this hill. Beans on the side though.
  4. This for me. I know he was a supporter of low, but I've got too much goodwill for the big man to have that matter too much. He was a superb player in a couple of beloved Jags teams over the years and the 2002 team is my favourite ever Thistle team, so I also wish him nowt but the best.
  5. The recent remake was actually pretty good and the emotional payoff was quite high. I enjoyed it. I wasn't commenting on whether the original Magnificent Seven was better than Seven Samurai, just that it was worthwhile. I haven't seen The Japanese original so can't comment on which one is better.
  6. Going to book a flight to Amsterdam on KLM website from Aberdeen. £169. I then twig that I've picked return instead of one way. I fix it and the price jumps up by £50. Arseholes.
  7. Just catching up and, as a cyclist of 20 odd years, don't have much business (much truck, one might say) with this thread. I'm absolutely gone at that Mikey character. An awful fella. Wandering around looking for small, technical, illegalities and being the self-appointed arm of the Lord is the most infuriatingly wee man behaviour I've seen. I love cycling, but some cyclists seem to be cyclists so that they can be an oppressed class and feel the outrage at the smallest of slights by drivers. Obviously I'm not advocating violence, but if I found out that somebody had leathered this chump I would probably crack a wee smile.
  8. I keep clicking that link and it takes me to a page selling tickets for the next game, which is a bit presumptious (but the prices aren't terrible tbf). E.T.A here's yer highlights.
  9. See, I haven't even listened to that, but the very thought of it has me chuckling. His sanguine delivery of absurd comedy is part of his genius.
  10. Athletico Mince is also absolutely brilliant. Roy Hodgson getting booze during lockdown had me in tears. See also all the Peter Beardsley stuff.
  11. I tried this once and I was so excited. I could hardly contain myself.
  12. Aye the Dele story is awful. People with that level and type of childhood trauma tend to end up in jail or as suicide stats. The fact that he's managed at all to carve out a career in football (never mind being a roaring success) is testament to a great character. I think most people have no idea how it feels to have been abandoned or neglected as a bairn, and especially the effect this has on your life as an adult. It affects how much you believe in the future and want to invest in it, as well as the colossal imposter syndrome you live with. He's a good egg and I truly hope he finds peace, whether it's as a footballer or something else entirely.
  13. Taleggio is the best cheese to go on a burger. Anyway, back on topic. George Ezra's music is an absolute joy. Liz Hurley is a mutt.
  14. It's an odd one for sure. I'm not sure about those saying that Clarke doesn't want to call him up just to sit on the bench, because Gauld has said that Clarke hasn't been in touch at all. He's probably a less athletic version of Christie, but I might be wrong about the athletic bit.
  15. Dons home tops have been pretty boring for a while now. I was talking to a mate there about your 1995 Northsound effort which is your best strip of the last 20 years. I'd love it if there were risks taken (as with your away top) but you're never going to get that with Adidas. It's the same safe dull top each time.
  16. Mate I'm a full kit w****r 40 year old whenever I play 5's. Never too old for that.
  17. The fermer's top is a belter. Reminds me of the lovely Famous Grouse effort you lads had a while back.
  18. Never thought I'd be saying "Mon the banks" , but here we are.
  19. That's a smashing fact. I live in "lower deeside" so see them occasionally when I'm out and about. Once I saw a family of three just happily (or grumpily, I didn't enquire) swimming down the river. Absolutely made my day.
  20. I think it's good marketing. My cousin's burd (now wife) requested one when we had it before, and she always disliked football. I don't have data for this, but I reckon we have more female fans now and they'll love it. The same cousin's wee daughter picked it out at the shop today also. I don't get the hate for the Raith kit. I'm an absolute sucker for tartan on football tops, especially tops with a collar.
  21. Strip launch today looked a massive success. Greaves have sold out of the home top completely. A small selection of players modelling it and taking pictures really greased the wheels of that. Jags tops all over town now. The boy Williams looks a well built laddie and modelled the home top handsomely. The buzz was fantastic around the City. The club have played a blinder here.
