  1. You could say that about almost anything that big companies pay smaller companies to do for them.
  2. True story: I once had a bag of tea taken from my flat by police as evidence after the bomb squad had to be called in.
  3. I think we've narrowed the search for ekok's big team down to two.
  4. That, while Celtic fail to progress from a group with Rabotnicki, HJK and Tre Fiori is my ideal scenario.
  5. The fixtures have been out for ages though, why leave it so late and still not have a new date for it? The B teams are a shambles of an afterthought and show disrespect to the league.
  6. These are the three teas I'm currently quaffing. From top to bottom they are an oolong (da hong pao) a black (Yunnan golden needle) and a green (long jing). They're all very different and you get far more range in tea than you do coffee. Good quality tea has very little astringency or bitterness. You get very fragrant almost floral teas, deep malty teas and woody earthy teas like a ten year old pu'er. There's something for everyone and unlike having a nice range of good whisky at home, the tea equivalent can be achieved for very little money.
  7. "No such thing as bad pizza" is a pretty common thing for folk to say, probably stemming from whoever first said "sex is like pizza, even when it's bad it's good". Of course some pizza can be bad, if it has out of date or poor quality ingredients, it's under/over cooked, if bad flavour combinations are used. Again, why should pizza be different from any other food? No, having lived in Italy myself I'm not surprised to hear that.
  8. An absolute myth. Why would pizza be different from any other food?
  9. I'd agree with Warsaw being underrated. I think it suffers from the same problem as another greatly underrated city: Glasgow. Their appeal isn't picturesque but the intangible, which is much harder for a fresh-off-the-boat tourist to get to grips with.
  10. That sounds like a horrible confluence of circumstances, Moonster. But eventually your renovations will be finished, you won't have to be living with your father, your cat will find peace and even if your finances are shaken up, you'll find a new equilibrium and become accustomed to it. It won't be a comfortable road but you'll get there. Hopefully the space and peace of being back in your own flat will help bring some calm and stability from which you can both begin to get back on your feet. Until then you still have each other and that's a precious thing, even if you're both hurting. I wish you nothing but the best.
  11. Disagree with Bucharest. I've tried to like it thrice now. The old town is overpriced touristy sleaze. The bulk of the city lacks organic neighbourhoods, just chain convenience stores and very few places to eat or drink out. The few interesting parts are too spread out in a city that's not very walkable and has terrible traffic. There are some areas with good architecture they're free and far between. It'd probably be in the bottom quarter of my ranking of East/Central European capitals. Each to their own though, perhaps I'm missing something.
  12. Starting to get quite excited about the cup final. Kingussie have gone all out. Peat & Diesel and Mànran live after the game. Hopefully the home side win in a close game on a sunny day and we can all get drunk and have a dance then crawl into our tents. Bring it on.
  13. Aye, cause rent, energy, equipment, wages, insurance, et cetera are free.
  14. I've been a couple of times on holiday. There are lots of stunningly beautiful areas near the Chinese border, Shymkent is a lovely city, plenty going on in Almaty, Lake Balkhash has a certain je ne sais quois.
  15. If it's good pizza you shouldn't be needing to f**k around with sauce.
  16. The government should really do something to contain the outbreak to Ayr. A zero pitch invasion policy would be folly, but we can't have this spreading to other clubs.
  17. There's some serious selection bias going on though. I'm sure many are doing fine.
  18. I just want to check I'm understanding you correctly. The reason Celtic and Rangers are so far ahead of the other clubs is that... there aren't enough good young Scottish footballers? Or are you just trying to change the subject?
  19. Food should be subject to the same laws as booze. These offers encourage consumers to eat two 12" pizzas when they'd normally stop at one.
  20. Domino's has always been terrible value, hopefully this charge will prevent others from making the mistake of ordering it.
  21. Reminds me of a story from about fifteen years back of a sex murder, think it was an Australian chef somewhere in England, whose defence was that the girl had already been murdered by someone else when he found it in the bushes and fucked it.
  22. These dungarees that have been in fashion for women this year look terrible. Dealbreaker.
