What is QD - or more to the point, how does it work?
I assume quiz difference haha?
If 2 or more have the same points then whoever has more of the highest number in their score then next highest etc. wins. In your case 3 of you ended up on 37 points but @Snobot with 1 x 9 + 2 x 8 is better than @mathematics 1 x 9 + 1 x 8 and both better than your score. Even though you had 3 x 8 you didn’t score a 9. Although @Snobot had the lowest daily score of the 3 of you (5) his higher scores beat you both. That’s Quiz Difference for you.

Doubt it will happen again but it did 62 years ago today.

Table time. Pfizer winner for the 18th time is @Helpma with 1 point behind @Cardinal Richelieu runner-up surprisingly for the 1st time. This was on QD from @TheGreenElves @Bully Wee Villa and @Salvo Montalbano. Relegated are @gkneil who missed the last 2 days @Arch Stanton who missed the last day and @velo army makes a quick return to the Wannabe. In the play-off is me @Eednud,
Wannabe winner for the 7th time is @scottsdad 1 point ahead of @Duszek and @D Angelo Barksdale plus @Ronaldo Jeremy and @specsaver who are in a 3 way play-off. Relegation for @BigBo10 @German Jag and @Claudia Gentile on QD which also put @mathematics into the play-off with @snobot surviving.
Last Chance welcomed @CaspianChris and @SlipperyP back into what is now a 12 team division. @The Captain is a 15th time winner with @kingjoey runner-up and @NJ2 3rd on QD from @Spring Onion who is in the play-off. @BaSeDG0DSA1NT takes wooden spoon no. 42 on QD.

The other historical ground that's interested me that we've played at is Balgay Park in Dundee - very close to where I now stay, and I'm forever walking around wondering where the pitch our legends of the 1890s graced was
Thanks for informative reply. Is it possible the Balgay Park ground was on what is now Victoria Park?

On this day in 1910 Arbroath played a friendly against Dundee & District Junior League side Forthill Athletic. What intrigued me about the game was the venue, Station Park, Barnhill as I can’t recall ever reading about the existence of that ground. Had always assumed they must have played somewhere in Forthill. I knew a Dundee to Forfar railway had passed through Barnhill. Found a picture of Forthill Athletic on the SJFA web site. It’s from a few years earlier than the Arbroath game but a Charles Stewart is listed in the line-up for the Arbroath game and the photo has a C.Stewart (captain), front row holding the ball. No idea if it’s the same player. Forthill Athletic had a player, John Slavin, who signed for Raith Rovers in 1922 and was transferred to Hearts in 1925. He was a centre forward who played 29 League games and 2 Scottish Cup games over 2 seasons, scoring 7 goals in the League. He also had loan spells with Forfar Athletic and Arbroath He moved to the USA in 1927 and was playing until at least 1945 according to his London Hearts page. The John Slavin picture is from Arbroath Archive.

Yes, but the Fed play over the border in Douglas.
ETA: should have looked at Google Maps first as there’s one down the road a bit on the other side of Baldovie Road

It's a Yellow Oleander which is an invasive tree but the amount of birdlife in it is amazing. It also has poisonous sap but when I trim it I wear gloves and safety glasses. It has a colony of stingless native bees living in it as well.
Think we only get pink oleanders down here but they also have poisonous sap.

Could the reason 1960, 1961 & 1962 Fairs Cup entries be due to entry in the early days was restricted to cities that held trade fairs? Hence the Inter Cities Fairs Cup.

That doesn’t matter with QD, just look at how this week’s wooden spoon ended up.
