  1. Liam Gordon's better on the ball, but hes not a better defender. He's just not played enough for folk to realise his flaws.
  2. Anderson was brutal tonight, was half a second slow to everything. He had no reason to stick a foot in at the penalty, and then missed a sitter, two things that cost us the first goal, which seems to settle our games with Thistle.
  3. We need two. Kane and Cummins are absolutely brutal when they have any shooting chance. We're reliant on MacLean who spent the whole game outside the box arguing with folk. It's staggering we've not resolved a problem we've had for about 18 months
  4. It's a shambles. I'm a defender of his, but he simply cant fail to hit the target. We can't afford to have him and Kane on our books at the same time.
  5. Get Cummins in the sea, clean through at 2-0 and he can't even hit the target.
  6. Yup. I've always thought he's a bit under rated tbh, he's get goals if you give him enough minutes. Playing a rotational role with Doolan is probably the perfect situation for him.
  7. Brian Graham is not a target man, you'd be wasting your time aiming high balls at him. Much better with it played to his feet. Although he is cracking at getting on the end of crosses
  8. Aye the line up ones look great, the ones behind the pundits are bizarre.
  9. No, I specifically said I don't think he's past it. I just don't think with a stronger league we'll be able to get away with only having one striker who's regularly scoring. Worth noting that Cummins played a huge part in our first goal yesterday, while Kane started the attack by beating a man for the winner. So it's possible both will be a to raise their game due to new competition
  10. I hope it's worth it. MacLean isn't finished, but it's not viable to rely on him as the only 10+ goal a season player this season.
  11. Because Rangers never let him go, our manager said as much in an interview. I'm not sure what you expected us to do about that?
  12. This top target could cost us the chance of signing any striker this window, which is a massive risk considering our options as it is. Cummins and Kane yesterday highlighted that, both work like horses and are useful parts of the team, but neither even came close to threatening. Only player I'd be happy to see us take that risk on would be May. And the only way I see that being realistic is based on an outlandish theory that Neil has gone there with the knowledge of what he can produce, but has found a shadow of the player due to injury. He's not wanting rid of him outright, but wants him loaned out to see how he recovers once he's playing regularly. That would then rely on nobody else offering a better financial deal for the loan. Aberdeen are the only team I've seen linked with him, and they could outbid us without even blinking, only way I see around that is of McInnes doesn't want another attacking player on loan and wants it done permanently, in which case we'd be the best fit. Type of theory you only believe at 10pm on a Sunday.
  13. It wasn't meant to be, it was just a fact. Same reason Dundee fans drone on about their "history" and "huge support"
  14. It's because having a decent youth player is literally the only thing Falkirk fans have which is worth talking about. That or this mythical "huge fanbase"
  15. There was around three similar statuses a few hours after he signed. Suspect it's something that'll be popping up until January.
  16. He was asked what the difference between his tenure and Jack Ross' is. And then listed that the club lost some physios, youth coaches, chief executive and "the board" in the build up to the new season and wasnt given enough time to cope with it all.
  17. Let it slip at the start the game hes most excited about this weekend is Motherwell v Rangers. Embarrassing for him to be saying that publicly.
  18. Went on the Preston forum, and what seems like a relatively ITK poster (going by previous posts) is saying May is "close to sealing a permanent move". Assume that puts any chance of us signing him to bed. Twas nice to dream for a while, however brief. I take it we're going to be stuck with these Maksimov rumours until the end of time itself now then? Despite the fact its clear hes financially beyond us
