  1. Three goals apiece in 1987-88. Good remembering Tam.
  2. In 1973-74 East Fife's top league goalscorer was shared between three players who each scored four goals. It got me thinking about the lowest top scorer in Scottish football, possibly even OG?
  3. ...and then Clyde will win 6-1 at Stenhousemuir... https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.instagram.com%2Freel%2FC1Nbw3Utd6_%2F&h=AT3ybxC-2ba6B5ZP_5B96SjiUTV9RkBCPWdeobdLgekNNMddtUUVaeB6hHtfrZuDCKwGhShWrvNttj0GifRxeQSBIpqxlOTNZZipeJ4fTlQ-Sh_2hWsI2CrEguYOQfzi2fU-LZyYEDvzye2WPw&s=1

  5. Aye, and you always fade in the second half against teams, largely because Wedderburn becomes a passenger. I can mind of a terrific game against Raith at Bayview. Down 1-0 at half time with Wedderburn doing the stuff he is good at. After the break, he was breathing out of his arse as East Fife made him chase the ball. We won 2-1. Loving the we'll definitely beat Bonnyrigg chat.
  6. I'm a big Gary Naysmith fan. He was in charge at Bayview for around three years, largely developing himself as a coach/ manager. We went through a few periods of dips in form, but I can't recall a capitulation on the scale of yesterday at Ochilview. Had to chuckle at the posters above blowing smoke out of Nat Wedderburn's bahookie. Everyone in the league knows he has 60 minutes in him at best.
  7. East Fife should have won. The first half both teams cancelled each other out, but we dominated after the break. McCallum is a decent goalie and Forfar are quite good at doing what they do. We need to get better at breaking down teams that play a style of football intent on preventing the other side playing. Don't get me wrong here, Forfar are entitled to play this way. They aren't overly physical or dirty, but they are very clever at sitting in and hitting on the counter attack. I like Andy Munro in particular. Gave Nathan Austin a really good run for his money.
  8. Maybe they are dessertspoons and tablespoons? I can't remember the last I saw a tablespoon
  9. Hertz (boo fucking boo) Clyde Dumbarton Dundee and Dundee United Arbroath just miss out
  10. This might be an unfortunate west of Scotland thing. It's a bit of a cringe. It was evident before the Clyde v Forfar Athletic game the game the other night. So many fans thought that Clyde were on some kind of roll, despite having only won one game in about ten. And Forfar scooshed it
  11. He was, and probably still is, a very good footballer. He's always been an impetuous immature individual however. Someone who requires a cuddle at times. Darren Young was quite good at this, but even his patience was limited.
  12. I'd like to see your workings on this. I think every team in the league this season have attacked Clyde and come away with a comfy three points.
  13. Scoring two goals in injury time is always going to spark wild celebrations. I wouldn't read anything more into it. I've got a real soft spot for Stranraer and I love Scott Agnew - check out his reaction at full time, across shaking hands after an absolute sickening end to the game. Fitba can be horrible at times.
  14. Brian Easton's goal might be up there with some of Ken Halley's headed efforts from back in the day. What a thing of absolute beauty. The power, the trajectory, the way he almost took the goalie into the back of the net with the ball..
  15. I admire your indefatigability. The last time I was in that neck of the woods I hung about St James Park with my son looking for tickets to tick off a ground. Nothing doing. Headed south to take in Darlington v Boston United instead. 2,000 fans in a 30,000 seated stadium - soul destroying, worse than watching Queen's Park away at Hampden with the horrible stewards.
  16. Trouts will do whatever is asked of him. With absolute magnificence
  17. The worrying thing is that United are struggling to break this mob down.
