  1. I stopped getting their feed because there were some individuals who were utter moon howlers. My cousin is one of them , I don't follow them but I see all the shite he posts it's like a fucking tartan army sing song. I wish they would stop going on about Brexit and catalonya, Brexit is actualy the only reason we will get in the EU, given the voting structure of the EU where each member has a veto over certain issues the last thing they want is for a current territory to go from having one veto to 2 or more
  2. 3-4 months ago only people who ended up in hospital got tested, no a symptomatic people are getting tested. I think for now it’s all good
  3. NHS loveheart flag is flying next to the union jack and the red hand of ulster at redding & westquarter unity club in falkirk, our local bigot hall. No joke
  4. What is the story with viral load? I don’t understand the term. Is it getting weaker? Or have we just cut out the biggest spreading opportunities like large crowded events with a high number of pished folk shouting and singing? Is the treatment better so that folk who would have died in march will now recover? Or is it just that many in the spring might have been on the road out anyway and covid just helped them out the door? I know much has been made about the care home debacles with patients chucked out of hospitals without tests, but I’m assuming they caught it at the hospital and it was brought there by younger healthier folk
  5. They probably want to check you live in the council area they operate in, both the falkirk ones are just off the main road with police not allowing any queing on the road instead insisting you just drive up and down the road all day untill one time it’s clear when you’re passing [emoji20] I chanced it and went to the one in Stirling which i knew had a mile long approach road, got in with nae checks but that was a few weeks ago so might be different now. I don’t think America is a second wave rather just the first wave not fully supressed. Thing is we can do all we want here. Some countries are back to 98% normality within the country but so long as others have catastrophically high rates then there’s going to have to be suffocating restrictions. What does the science say? Life will have to get back to normal at some point, if it does ( flights football no masks etc) are we still expecting a march style explosion?
  6. Maybe Dortmund fans don't need to go on P&B from their phones at the match to post " this is fucking dire" on the match thread? not criticizing, I've done it myself
  7. I think the citizenship stripping was done do appease the gammon vote. Bearing in mind that she is/ was a child when she did the initial deed, she was born a British citizen & doesn't actually hold any other nationality or dual citizenship despite potentially being entitled to ( loads of people in the UK are in this category) Simply put they would not have done the same to a white person of Irish or European ancestry in like for like circumstances. She should come back to the UK and face the music which will likely be a lengthy jail sentence. it's only right
  8. I agree, technically brilliant players can sometimes have a way of nullifying one another which in high stakes games which leads to dull entertainment
  9. You'd think that but I'm sure there's been a bit of research that disproves it, We here on football forums tend to be more interested than many so we think others think like we do (I like upsets and underdogs too) but many casual fans and especially overseas fans only care about the biggest teams and best players. The viewing figures back it up too, Leicester 's shock win was a huge story but it also saw declining TV viewers. Why would you want to watch a final full of nobody's when you could be watching Messi's Pogba's Sala's etc
  10. I Don't agree that splits are good, they are in fact pish. Europe is one or 2 games & a by in the league cup for the 3rd and 4th place team - nice to have but not essential. Al that happens when you do have a tittle race is the top 2 playing out against teams who are safe , you miss the dross at the bottom skelping a nervous title chaser whilst scrapping for survival. I also quite like the idea of regionalization at a certain level but you have to think of Scotland's geography 90% of the teams will be within a 3 hour drive of each other, there are a few outliers obviously but they will remain outlies In a regional set up. it takes almost as long to get to inverness from Aberdeen as it does from the central belt. it takes longer to get to fort William from Fraserbourgh than it does from Glasgow. By all means go for it but you would be having regionalization for the sake of it
  11. Back in normal times we all ken folk who ( don’t have any known underlying issues) seem to catch every pishy wee bug goin and those ( usually manky b*****ds) who rarely ever get sick. Could the initial surge in the spring have been those in group one all catching it quickly? I don’t know I’m just making stuff up now,i miss the fitbaw
  12. There are a lot of people who are looking at the tiny numbers and think we need to get back to normal ASAP. Tbh i find myself thinking like this a lot. A full month after the crowded protest and partial reopening of the country there has still been no spike in cases in fact they are still declining. It makes me think in my totally uninformed opinion that there is little to no community transmission, those small numbers must be related to care of those who are sick. Am I wrong ? Are they getting it from tesco or down the park? My only real concern is the virus working its way back from down south although tbf it’s also declining there despite the clusterfuck just much slower
  13. I must be the same, crowd I started going with years ago have diminished to almost zero now, don’t have kids yet but if/when i do i might use the threat of going to a falkirk game to make them behave Also we can’t be far from getting a double zero day for cases and deaths hopefully
  14. Before the lockdown there were many pubs that had barely half a dozen pishy auld c***s nursing one pint all day . Just go to them in a few weeks it’ll be a doddle
  15. I’ve been socially distancing at the falkirk stadium for years start work at 6pm on a Saturday , head along for 2.50 . Get pie just before ko as everyone gets to their seat. Back to the car and a bite to eat and listen to the full times from round the grounds then off to work for nightshift . Sad ? Definitely Safe? - absolutely!
  16. If that article is true then gaelic is finished. If young children & families don’t use it at home, in the playground , if teenagers don’t use it on social media etc then it will just become a hobby language similar to when immigrant families teach their children the grandparents tounge to stay connected with their roots but which serves little practical use. I lived in Shetland about 10 years ago, they don’t speak gaelic but the older people spoke a local scots based dialect so thick that even those from the north east would need an interpreter yet pretty much all of the young people spoke in that glasgow uni type accent kevin bridges takes the piss out of, the difference was night and day
  17. That is very very embarrassing . it's beyond me how an adult can carry on like that
  18. I don't believe there's any harm in wearing a mask, it may even be of benefit, I just don't want to. I'll do it because it's a requirement but as soon as it's lifted , and I hope it will be and not this new normal, then I won't bother with one
  19. It doesn't sound appealing to me, my partner is self employed and runs everything from home, it's harmonious because is I go to work ( I have to physically be there ) otherwise we would be together 24/7 . sounds romantic doesn't it? but in real life spending that much time with anyone will just lead to crabbitnes and bickering .
  20. I think the novelty will wear off for many people, there will be some recluse wierdo types who will be happy to never be in an office again and i'm sure it has some advantages some of the time but I think the majority don't mind a bit of social contact with co-workers. there are also those who don't really have the space for it and are just muddling through just now. Then there are those like me who simply don't want their home to also be their workplace
  21. Yep, same discussion we've often had with Falkirk Fc re ticket prices and empty seats. The club claim that a reduction in prices doesn't lead to much of an uptake in fans therefor the club loses income, in other words thanks for your loyalty now excuse us while we rip you off cause others have chucked it
  22. Fair enough, well tbh Asia is not something I know too much about alltho I've been there on holiday, My partner is from the Caribbean, we didn't really talk much about race in the early stages so I just did what I thought I ought to and not mention it or make a deal of it, when we first went to visit Jamaica where her family still lives I decided the best course of action was just to keep my mouth firmly shut and only open it to be as nice an polite as possible because I had it in my head that most people there would hate white people, especialy someone from the UK , I mean why wouldn't they? you couldn't exactly judge them for it if they did . It was upon listening to a conversation with her and a relative about another white man how his behavior and actions would normally be totally unacceptable yet he was always getting away with it , only he could get away with it. curiosity got the better of me and I asked how this was? " because he is white " was the clear and concise answer I got from both of them, again confused I asked how this could be ? its a black country after all? " it's not a Blackmans country at all " was the answer. Yes the majority are black however the lighter your skin tone the higher up the socio economic ladder you are ( I believe asia is like this too ?) Those of mixed African and European hertige occupy the upper middle classes to themselves, darker skinned people can have as much money as they want but they are not ever part of that group. Usian bolt was treated like shite from his lighter neighbors when he bought a house in an affluent neighborhood and he's probably the most famous living Jamaican . As full Caucasians are tiny in number any white expats are seeked out by these cliques and suddenly find themselves invited to be amongst them . before long many end up acting like old colonials even if that wasn't their original intention. Fuckin hell was the only thing I could think of when I learned of all this. for the rest of the holiday I watched this invisible apartheid at work and it seemed to be true, In fact from my (limited) observation the whole place seemed to be suffering collective Stockholm syndrome. Anyway I'm no looking to get sidetracked . we do have a lot to answer for tho
  23. Sorry I should have said I'm not talking about you specifically
  24. Can't comment on Hong Kong and I've only visited the Philippines but lets not go down the road of " if you go to a majority black or brown country then you will be the minority who gets abused " it may be true in some localized cases but it's mostly shite. In the vast majority of post colonial nations in Africa Asia and the Caribbean, a white person will sometimes be assumed to be A wealthy and B somewhat important and will often receive more favorable treatment than a local. Most white people have no idea how many benefits their complexion brings them and can't understand why non whites find it irritating Also while were here lets not bother with pish like " chinky or paki is just the same as jock ausie paddy tafffy yank etc etc" it's fucking not and fine you know it. the later exampls are rarely preceded by "f**k off back where you came from you aussie c**t" people with the later names aren't made to feel unwelcome in the country they were born in, or see numerous newspaper headlines demonizing their religion or way of life, finally for those of the " it's all gone too far" or " too far the in the other direction now " what you may aswell be saying is " I don't mind black people so long as they stay in their place and don't get ideas above their station" a lot of what I would call "moderate racists" if there is such a thing are now outing themselves in the wake of the recent BLM events, What I mean is people who are not raging bigots who hate anything different but those who don't mind cuddly minorities with their nice food and cool music so long as they continue to act like guests in a white world , who need to be on their best behavior at all times and not assert themselves or they wont be welcome anymore, you know the kind of people i'm talking about. you might even have been one for years and never knew it
  25. none of my relatives living in England have been beaten up told to go back home, had windows or cars damaged or had BNP or other such things graffitied onto their homes or places of business , I'm sure it happens from time to time but not on a large scale.
