  1. I did stumble across it on Twitter, but I think the picture was taken from Dunfermline’s Challenge Cup game against Celtic B this (last) season, which is equally as poor. Looking at his profile though, it appears the boy’s also got a soft spot for Shelbourne. Got to admire the message on the Shelbourne tee-shirt on his profile picture. What a complete tadger.
  2. Everybody knows you don’t see Morton as your rivals. You’re on here constantly reminding us of how little you care about us without any prompting, after all. And you’re welcome.
  3. You’re the guy that came on here a few months ago telling us all how you couldn’t give a toss about Morton yet post about us at every opportunity. Don’t give us the bullshit about hypocrisy when you’re the walking, talking embodiment of it.
  4. Looking forward to dropping into the Mallard and wishing my warmest congratulations and thanks to the Ross County fans for their team’s sterling efforts on Sunday. Great bunch o’ lads!
  5. He’s at the wind up in fairness. The Falkirk fans genuinely believe that their place in Scottish football’s food chain is above the third tier.
  6. That’s GTF day gone, then. Or “Sunday” as the Partick fans refer to it.
  7. Aye, of course we do, but every club does. And to be fair to our fans, some of them are a bit excitable, but given that we’ve just enjoyed our best season in a wee while and are seeing genuine progress on and off the park, it’s not surprising to see folk get ahead of themselves. Morton’s trajectory since our play-off meeting a couple of years ago provides scope for cautious optimism. Falkirk’s trajectory? Well…
  8. Looks like I’m going to have to do a lot of work going through all of your posts from the last month or so and rescinding greenies for this slur.
  9. https://twitter.com/brorarangers/status/1663818727861760002?s=46&t=mPi-CBP2m1lKxRNMQCkJuA A u-turn from Brora.
  10. Having read some of your responses to the criticisms of your rancid wee club and their support over the last few weeks, that doesn’t surprise me.
  11. Maybe we should try dropping like a stone and scrambling around for the scraps of local Celtic fans in the hope that they don’t have a first team game when the kiddies come to town. People talking about you doesn’t always show you in a good light- ask Philip Schofield.
  12. I suppose you could argue that, given that the most high profile Lowland Club to take the B Team boab were “historically” a Championship club.
  13. I said he was trying, I didn’t say he’d make much of a job of it.
  14. There’s more too that if you read the statement, though. There’s only a small sample of quotes, but if you read MCT’s take on it, they seem to feel that most of the 19% are in favour of some sort of reconstruction, but against the inclusion of B Teams.
  15. They’ve provided a couple of comments from fans on either side of the debate- those against being vehemently against, whilst those in favour expressing their reservations about B Teams in particular. Whilst it’s a small sample size, it’s fair enough if they feel that the comments represent the members’ feelings more accurately than the results of the poll. I suspect that, as usual you’re just looking to be facetious, but short of posting every comment on what is a concise statement, I don’t know what more you’re after.
  16. https://twitter.com/tonclubtogether/status/1662363466978451456?s=46&t=mPi-CBP2m1lKxRNMQCkJuA Results from MCT’s poll of supporters announced this morning. Given that MCT have around an 80% stake in Morton, it can be assumed with a degree of certainty that our magnificent club will be in the good guys list.
  17. Whose stupid idea was it to play a cup final between East Kilbride and Bo’ness in Berwick?
  18. Stranraer and Peterhead must be two clubs who could be in a bit of danger. The days of Peterhead throwing money about seem long gone with McInally’s moaning about missing out on players to Broomhill at the start of the season and if Stranraer were to go I could see them sinking like a stone, given their crowds. I’d go as far as to say that given the geography, if Stranraer were to fall through, they’d be the one club who’s find it nigh on impossible to get back the the Lowland League, never mind the SPFL, should they end up in the SOSFL.
  19. I suppose it does, but I’d like to think that there would be some sort of consultation involved and the national awards would take precedence. It’s easier for one club to re-arrange than it is for the SPFA to work round 42 plus others. Maybe I’m looking into it a bit much, but it strikes me as being a similar scenario to that of Rangers refusing to acknowledge the cinch deal as they have their own arrangement.
  20. Wouldn’t say “tinpot” is the word, or if it’s been mentioned elsewhere, but is it not a bit of a dick move by Celtic to hold their own player of the year awards do on the same night as the SPFA awards? Especially when their players would more than likely be front row and centre when the main awards are being handed out.
  21. He was a good short-term signing that got us out of a hole when O’Connor was injured, and nobody was upset about extending his deal until the summer, but I doubt anyone would have wanted to keep him. As you would expect, there was the odd moment that gave you the fear and he had a nightmare at Celtic Park, but that was to be expected against a team of that quality. Going down to League One is the natural step for him and he should deal with it okay, but don’t pin your hopes on him week in, week out. Overall, his time at Cappielow was a positive experience, but more because he was a good man to have around the club/cult hero to the fans than because he was any good. Should be fine against shite like “Falkirk” though.
  22. Surely you’re contradicting yourself, here? If we’re to argue about people investing a lot of money into clubs in order to lift them above their “natural level”, then it would only be fair to say that instances of neglect such as Scott’s at Morton see clubs dipping below a level that’s natural for them. Lying in a grave with Third Lanark would never have been natural for Morton- had it happened, it would’ve been the result of an exceptional set of circumstances, not because that is where Morton’s place in Scottish football is.
  23. I see Hartlepool have been relegated from League Two, so Hartley is looking at two relegations with different clubs in the same season. When do you see a manager getting relegated with two different teams in the same season? You don’t even see that in amateur football.
