  1. I read Don Felder's autobiography which went into big detail on his time as one of the Eagles. Started as a session musician, they then formed a company that split the money 5 ways including him. He was a full member. This was in the mid-70s.They did this a couple more times as folk left and joined. When they re-formed in the 90s, they formed another new company that gave more money to Glenn Frey and Don Henley (as they were the famous ones, the songwriters and had had solo careers) and less to Felder, Timothy Schmidt and Joe Walsh. Felder was told to take it or leave it, and he took it. Made huge amounts of cash but felt it was unfair. Kept complaining that the money wasn't being split evenly, and in 2001 they sacked him from the band. It's an excellent read, his book. @WhiteRoseKillie recommended it to me, if I remember correctly. Back on topic, Felder admitted that in the 70s he was shagging about behind his wife's back whilst she stayed at home and raised the kids. Then, when his career hit the skids and she was becoming successful in hers, and she cheated on him once, he left her.
  2. Not football related (actually a horrific story). Accompanied in the Heil by this map.
  3. Another club joining Scottish football's utterly disgraceful anti-Yogi conspiracy.
  4. On a Teams call just now. One guy joined via his phone. Seems to be using it a bit like a phone. Camera on, I can see either his eyebrow or his ear.
  5. I supervised a dissertation student a couple of years ago who was looking at "green concrete" and trying to work out why it wasn't more widely used in construction. Because it isn't up to much, was the answer.
  6. Numerous celebrities claiming to care about climate change, whilst using private jets to get around the globe and gas guzzlers to drive about. Leonardo DiCaprio, Harry and Meghan, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others.
  7. Article in the Guardian about this case. Apparently he interviewed Ken Loach about his movies last year, and that was what sunk him. A bit ridiculous. Like in those councils where the NEC are letting the Tories back in rather than form coalitions with the Greens or Lib Dems.
  8. Used to watch these as well, and then you notice some of the actors that appeared in them (Matt le Blanc) were doing it before or hitting the big time or after giving up a big TV gig (Denise Crosby). Quite similar to the Shannon Tweed/Shannon Whirry movies of the time.
  9. I remember us getting Sky TV in the early 90s and finding that it picked up a German channel. RTL, I think. Always showed an Emmanuel movie on Friday nights when my folks were out.
  10. Nope, he's in week 3 of his timeshare holiday.
  11. In a few days, @DiscoStu will be along to red dot this whole discussion between us. Another one to watch.
  12. Said it after just a couple of posts. Each new post just confirms it.
  13. A colleague of mine is retiring and, in my days off I was "volunteered" to organise his leaving stuff. So, for a collection I was thinking of using an online thing so folk could chip in a few bob. But I've never done this before - so, my question(s): What's a good platform to use? How does the retiree get the money out of it? Cheers
  14. This is always a bugbear of mine. My kids were bottle fed. My daughter clung to me very much when she was a baby. Not being breastfed did them no harm at all. And bottle feeding meant we both did it.
  15. Looks like it has been locked and unlocked a few times over the weekend. @Tynie Bagstock can it stay locked? It's an utter binfire.
  16. On Tinder she described herself as 5 ft 3 blue eyes, slim body and blonde hair. Met up and had sex with her on the first date! Had to do doggy style though as the 3 eyes were a bit off-putting.
