    I managed one out of 6 last year, but f**k it, here we go. 1. Get out of the horrific job I started in 2022 (ironically, the only 2022 goal I achieved. You live and learn.) 2. Climb two new mountains 3. Help my son more with his schoolwork. Unlike his big sister, he needs it. 4. Run regularly (if not every weekend, at least most weekends) 5. Free up time for creative activities (reading, writing) Bring it on, and good luck comrades.

    Poor effort from me this year. I managed 1) but the job has turned out to be a nightmare, v long days and stressful. A mistaken move. Can’t claim successes for any of the others. FFS. Room for improvement in 2023.

    That’s the 2023 squad enrolled. Hoping for better than 2022, which shouldn’t be difficult, as a good number of that team turned out to already be dead before the year even started. Did a modicum of research this time.

    Cromarty Distillers’ homage to Hugh Miller, the town’s famed geologist son. Gifted to my dad for Christmas, he lives in Cromarty and had never heard of them… Their website is pretty vague but has a Tain address, so perhaps distilled there? In any case, nice taste, and I like the bottle design.

    Through work i’ve met a mixed bag of celebs… Dalaï Lama, Fabio Capello, Vitaliy Klitschko, Gordon Brown (a dour c**t), Angelina Jolie, Ban ki-moon, Princess Anne, Dan Marino, Boris... The one that stands out was Annie Lennox, I got invited to her gaff and she (or her minions) sent me a scarf for a Christmas present. Halcyon days.

    Ha, I remember the group chat function, and some c**t (presumably you) editing my comments after I typed them, from « my operations are all above board » to « I admit it, I cheated my way to this title ». That was my cue to quit. Great times.

    I discovered P&B around 2003/2004 through effeffelle, the online footy manager game. There were a few P&B posters on there. Won the League & Cup double with Alianza Byres Road. Admittedly through skullduggery. But no more than the next man.
