  1. We seem to be ok financially so I'd say we could offer him decent terms if he wants full time football. Apparently made a decent offer to McManus but he wants pastures new. I think we would be able to offer better terms than Ayr and Raith. But if the boy wants to play at a higher level then that could scupper us.
  2. The remote thought of Di Vita on a permanent contract would give you the boak..
  3. Name and shame the other clubs Sammon had interest from, we could all do with a laugh!
  4. If you look at that St.Mirren team it had, McGinn, Magennis, Morgan, Mullen, Cammy Smith, Ross Stewart to name a few, there's always going to be a weak link but if the players round about have better ability then it's not as noticible. Put McShane in our team and it sticks out like a sore thumb he's mince.
  5. We are in big trouble if Sammon starts the season as the focal point of our attack. The guy is pretty much done and the fact Lee Miller was picking himself before him latterly speaks volumes. Sadly we are going to be stuck with him he'd be an option off the bench for me ( signings dependant) and nothing more.
  6. I just hope M&M recruitment is better than January, where not only was it underwhelming we also ended up with a smaller squad and struggled to fill the subs bench, call it naivety on their part but it was pretty ridiculous for a team going for a title and shouldn't have happened.
  7. McManus if our chairman's comments are anything to go by. That's about it. I think there could be more departures though.
  8. They can have Sammon for their mid table push.
  9. Watson is as good as if not better than some we have had over the last couple seasons in defence. Which isn't saying much. He was a better defender than Gasporotto and let's not forget, Dallison, Brough, and co. And latterly Buchanan.
  10. All except Telfer. Only other concern would be Dixon and Miller aren't getting any younger and we could do with some younger legs in the team.
  11. He's an enigma. Plays well when hes on top of his game. Which is very few n far between, he's got ability just doesn't show it often enough.
  12. Agreed. Last season's at least looked like some thought had went into it, with the landmark design on the sleeves, and it was plain and pretty smart. This season's looks like they have just went with the first idea Puma came up with, and the club had no input whatsoever. If someone at the club DID have a say in it they want their head checked. The away strip isn't just as horrific as the home one, but still dreadful.
  13. Johnstone is absolutely brutal and struggled to make an impact on loan at Stranraer, the rest could probably do a job for you. I'd say Doyle be the pick of a poor bunch.
  14. True although I think Rudden was injured for the most part.
  15. They already have four better players in Graham, Rudden, Docherty and Lyons. That's without a wadge of cash.
  16. He shouldn't need any motivation, his CV is decent enough. The fact he plays like he's just out for a kick about and is often just strolling about the park is ok if you have the class and skill to make the onion bag bulge a few times a game. Sadly he doesn't.
  17. I'd keep Durnan, he was getting better and looked more comfortable without Buchanan beside him. Agree with Telfer and Sammon. I don't think we will have the option to be picky in who we sign though, my biggest fear is McCall will have too much nouse in league 1 for Miller and McCracken, and if they can keep, Graham, Rudden, they have already signed the boy Lyons from Montrose and Docherty from Ayr, thats four pretty decent players at our level.
  18. Yes but at least we don't have to endure McKinnon handing out two year deals like confetti to duds like Buchanan, Tidser etc, be thankful for small mercies.
  19. That may be the case, but I can't see every team being willing and/or able to play. Which throws another spanner in the works for those that are.
  20. Denny Johnstone, Ian McShane, Gregor Buchanan, Louis Longridge, Michael Doyle leave Falkirk.
  21. it's looking more like a mistake letting Leitch and Laverty go out on loan aswell. They may not have featured much but at least it's options off the bench. Sammon and McMillan hopefully will be nowhere near our club next season, I'd also question the signing of Gomis for next year. Might be ok as a back up, but this squad is in need of major surgery in the summer regardless of league. If we don't go up I can't see M&M being tasked with it.
  22. This has score draw written all over it. 1-1 with McManus inevitably getting our goal.
  23. I think we will struggle at Clyde without McManus tbh. I have no faith in Sammon or McMillan to fill the void.
  24. We went from having not enough players, then plenty, now back to not enough. Partly because McKinnon signed some duffers and it's cost us to pay them off, some are out on loan in Leitch and Johnstone, we wasted a loan on Moore from Hearts who hardly featured and let Bell go to be replaced by another loan. So we have maxed out our Scottish loans on Moore, McManus, Ferrie, McMillan and Di Vita. We let go Toshney, Tidser, Bell, MacLean, three out on loan, brought in Hall, Todd, Di Vita on loan, Ferrie on loan and extended Miller, Longridge , McManus loan, gave a new deal to young Laverty who is out on loan a new deal to Lietch who is out on loan and Gomis has just signed another years deal. So seven out and four in. It's no wonder one of our co managers is listed as a sub.
  25. Yeah i can't see us being anywhere near the top if we do go up unless there is a massive cash injection into the first team squad. And with the current board there is no chance of that. If you really want promotion from the championship you either need to throw money at it like Dundee Utd or get lucky via the playoffs but that hasn't happened too often in recent years, Hamilton and Livingston apart.
