  1. Id like to think that M&M would/should have things lined up, the BoD giving them the green light to do so is another matter. It wouldn't surprise me if there were an injury to McManus or one or two others sees us scratching around trying to get bodies in at last minute. It's been that kind of bizarre season, where we didn't have enough players, then had plenty to back to not enough. There is also the financial side as to how much did it cost to get rid of the likes of Bell, Tidser, our BoD seem to be very adept at haemorrhaging money.
  2. Unless it's a cross border loan, free agents are usually playing catch up fitness wise, and/or are what's left that nobody wanted. I think we will be hard pushed to get a striker in that will slot straight in of the quality we need. We are also woefully short of full back cover. Its just a pity McMillan we couldn't get McMillan back to St Johnstone.
  3. There's also the fact that in that 18 man squad there are some poor players, McMillan being a prime example. McShane, Telfer haven't contributed much either.
  4. U would struggle to get a rizla paper under his feet when he jumps.
  5. Personally I hope Sammon isn't with us next season. Anyone know his length of contract, I thought it was only 1year.
  6. Hoping for a wee favour here, but I see Johnstone is playing so that's like a man short already.
  7. I see your MacIntyre and raise you Shug Hill.
  8. Pretty sure we paid around 20-25k for Grant from Clydebank. Mennie did indeed sign from Dundee. We paid about the same for him . Both absolute dugshite.
  9. I thought he would have signed Tidser, Bell, Johnstone, and I'm still amazed we are still lumped with McShane. I thought for sure he was going in January.
  10. I'd fancy Doyle or Dixon against Lewis Moore though. He was absolute shite in the game against Rangers. Ran about like a headless chicken and not much else. And Ikpeazu is just a big haddy, I'd even go as far as saying Sammon is better than him. Hearts have some decent players, but they also have some dugshite aswell hence they are where they are in the league.
  11. I think we would fare a helluva lot better if Naismith was out injured. He seems to be the one that makes hearts tick. Take him out and they have been pretty poor. Although Boyce looks a threat up front for them now.
  12. Poor. The lack of depth highlighted further by Miller listed as a sub. Need more bodies.
  13. They are both poor, it's a straight choice of who is the worst. For the most part it's been Durnan, Buchanan has got away with sentiment is he's a fan, the captain, it doesn't alter the fact he's a bit pish. For all Durnan has been rank rotten and improved over last few games he's still just as capable of having an absolute howler. Hall in his one appearance looked good. Roll the dice and hope we come up with six.
  14. I think if anywhere defence and striker dept need adding to, we are relatively well covered in midfield, in an ideal world get rid of McMillan and McShane and try n bring in better. Sadly it's not an ideal world. Edit to add I wouldn't want to see Denny Johnstone recalled under any circumstances.
  15. I'd certainly hope not. I had hoped we might have been able to shift McShane but I spose we have did not bad in that dept. Still time ofcourse.
  16. Squad still a bit light on numbers, if we are done then bit risky given the inevitable injuries/suspensions.
  17. Calum Ferrie joins Falkirk on loan till the end of the season from Dundee
  18. I for one didn't think Sammon and McMillan were great signings. I didn't think Sammon should have been signed in the first place and I still don't rate the guy. McMillan was a panic signing imo by McKinnon, he's a poor player. They might just be able enough to help McManus and get us over the line at the end of the season but I don't want to see either of them in a Falkirk shirt next season.
  19. He's hardly featured, played about seven games mainly as a sub, tricky, good touch, probably could play anywhere across the front line, the management team seem to rate him, I thought he would have been out the door when he signed another short deal when Miller n McCracken first started putting their stamp on things, for him then to get this deal shows they must think he's got a part to play. Good luck to him.
  20. Maybe. Shame though I had heard he was linked with QoS but wages seemed the issue. I spose we need some cover from the bench, it's a pity one of those happens to be him.
  21. Very good signing for this level, if he stays fit of course. You guys don't seem to have a problem scoring goals but you concede a fair few aswell, defender next in?
  22. I thought it was the case he wouldn't play on plastic pitches or was it the case he just didn't at St.Johnstone?
