  1. We were only comfortable because Austria didn't have a striker that could do anything proper with those gorgeous crosses that were being slung in regularly from the left and because VAR for whatever reason ignored O'Donnell's clothes line on baumgartner. I choose to believe that Clarke knew the former and said "let them cross" The second, we got lucky. And Austria can f**k off with thinking they're better, that was an even contest.
  2. True and a fair point, the effective tax rate on property letting can be over 100% if you're highly geared. It does only affect your profits if you need to borrow to afford property. Keeps the riff raff out of the game.
  3. We are short-staffed. Or as the partner said, "under-inputted".
  4. No, because the employer's contribution isn't a direct cost to employees. It might affect how much the employer is willing to pay but it's unlikely to directly reduce amounts payable to employees by 1.5%, at least in the short term. f**k working or owning a productive business though. Lending money or renting out houses is where the tax system thinks money should go. Great news for slumlords and loansharks.
  5. Unearned income is the best income. We have a wealth tax, charged once for each lifetime. It is riddled with loopholes. In my experience the biggest tax dodges still available to individuals are inheritance tax ones. Never mentioned whenever there's a crackdown. Typical remoaner. Jolly well get on with it!
  6. One year + a couple of months would take him to the end of his contract. I'd think paying up the contract would be the maximum outlay. Maybe reductions for a lump sum and freedom from obligations?
  7. Yes i do. I do have a colour set though so it's easy to tell the teams apart. I don't believe HD will make either the Dons or Scotland any good.
  8. I only ever read a couple of dozen marvels when i was a kid, so have no idea who or what that is. Sounds cool though.
  9. No, they love the bonus scenes. Not too clear to me what
  10. Villains (2019) Feels like the plot of a shite horror repurposed to be an attempted cult teen movie, not wholly unsuccessfully. Enjoyable but silly. Enjoyed the baddies. 6/10. War Dogs (2016) Fly by night arms dealing caper. Like a much less fun wolf of wall street. As blunt as an oliver stone film and not as much fun or as satirical as it seemed to think it was. 5/10 Shang Li + etc... Top notch supernatural action with a bit of comedy from marvel. Worth seeing in the pictures i reckon. 8/10
  11. My work has a small car park which results in people regularly leaving their keys on the desk so that colleagues can move their car if they're in a meeting, on lunch etc. I went to move a colleagues car that was full of fast food wrappers and general shite associated with her toddler. Can cope with that ok. I went to pull the door shut and couldn't get my hand in behind the handle properly. When i pulled it in close i could see that the wee hollow bit was filled up with hundreds of bits of chewing gum. I'm wretching just thinking about it.
  12. I like the graffiti that kids do in the grime "clean me" "i wish my wife was this dirty" "also available in white" Always bring a genuine smile to my face. I appreciate that not everyone has a sophisticated sense of humour like mine though.
  13. "that's my new favourite Marvel film" - coprolitina jr, aged 9,on Shang Chi. I thought it was really good as a standalone film. Expect it's fairly well tied in to upcoming output.
  14. Executive Producer If i understand this correctly it's just having the idea for a film.
  15. It's only rubbish if you have an arbitrary and very specific definition of "this type of game" that differs from what i meant. I forgot we only got points at home or against bottom seeds.
  16. Three points with a large element of B team, middle game of three in succession. That's a decent result. Got a good look at a couple of fringe players. Thought Nisbet did ok. Patterson had a couple of good moments, most notably for the goal, but was generally a liability. Looks a potential talent but not ready. Still no idea what our best forward line might be. Five at the back, replacing Robertson with a cb, against Moldova is really disappointing. But on the other hand not winning this sort of game has shafted us many times before. If shitfests get points, shitfest away.
  17. Exchanged pleasantries with Kevin Day, Jack Dee and Griff Rhys Jones in Embra at Fringe time, pub and post pub. Met a Countdown lexicographer (before it was monopolised by Suzy Dent) in a club in Aberdeen. She was delighted to be recognised and said it hadn't happened before.
  18. With that being in shouty capitals and having seen the sign off before reading, the whole thing was read out in my head really loudly by Ian Paisley
  19. I knew a guy, ex navy, who claimed to have been on Hms Sheffield and later the Herald of Free Enterprise when they sank. Never shut up about it. He was known locally as Uncle Albert.
