  1. Second half they were both good. First half neither of them looked luke they'd seen a football before. Agreed Lol Agreed Agreed, but he did look ok after half time. Yes Ojo looked like "ex scunthorpe" two games running. Might look "Belgian" soon He played a brilliant (like, properly skillful and instincive) pass to hayes at one point. Game for cynicism and punting. People will tune uk n because they won't believe that a team with 5 wingers could be so pedestrian It can't get worse
  2. Just looked up Mcginn's stats and hadn't realised how many goals he'd actually scored for us. Obviously remember his 20 goal season but he's averaged double figures per season overall, with one in four. Considering he's been on the wing for the majority of that time (and in korea too) that's quite good.
  3. It's fine the authorities are abreast of it. They're nothing of the sort. They are just winging it.
  4. There surely can't be an alternative way of describing cheese on toast? (you just made "flat sausage" up for a laugh right?)
  5. Glastonbury 1992. The first band on that i saw were Fat Dinosaur so i guess they were my first gig. I remember them being shite, sort of a shoutier Bad Manners with the lead singer in a spotty onesie. About 2 hours later the Fall were on and were great.
  6. Even if it's shite that looks delicious. Not sure i approve of the red pudding being singled out from the other puddings though.
  7. Because behind whatever facts are being stated there is always a subtext being communicated. The subtext can usually be understood in context. Often it may not be intended to convey this subtext. In the case of the Jrg statement i'd say that they were very deliberately letting people know that the games were being cancelled because the govt wanted them cancelled and the football authorities didn't want to piss off the government. Local lockdown was probably a contextual factor in the government motivation for wanting the game cancelled but the need to be seen to act over player breaches was probably more pressing.
  8. Does anyone know what this means in practice? Is this a symbolic lack of moral support for measures that will be taken anyway? Or is it the council refusing to impose measures that it has control over?
  9. Only if you take the statement at face value, which only a simpleton would do.
  10. "in light of" doesn't mean "as a direct and inevitable consequence of".
  11. It's not a leg. She's hung like a shire horse
  12. Careful. Those are a gateway to tangfastics which will ruin your life
  13. I think stay at home parenting should be discouraged because my wife is a lazy cow and is starting to rip the piss now. Also disapprove of marriage for much the same reasons.
  14. Football fans have always been treated as potential criminals and will be the last people the government trusts to behave.
  15. We have one pizza shop locally that puts plasticcy garlic sauce over everything but most don't. Do you get those parmo things at the chip shop*? *i agree with your terminology but am using the esperanto version.
  16. I suppose there's no point being cloak and dagger as we won't have a fit, proper first team, striker for a while. He'd be negligent if he wasn't looking. I still hope Anderson can take his chance.
