What Are You Drinking ?
Archie McSquackle replied to keyser_soze's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
Yeah, I saw the Che Guava lager was William Bros. but I mistakenly thought all of the ones I had picked up were also. I have to say though, the two from Tempest were really good. -
Cheers. I remember Chequers (was only in it once or twice though) so I've placed it now thanks.

I've not been out in Hamilton town centre in a long while- where's Manhattan? Did it used to go by another name?

Things that annoy or delight you on the telly right now

I enjoyed the music but the whole idea of labelling it as a genre seemed absolute made-up bullshit. -

I mistakenly thought they were Williams Bros. The Brewgooder Moyo Juice was a poor relation of Drygate's Mango Fork Lift Juice but Tempest Brewing excelled themselves. Vermont Sessions was lovely and their NZ Long White Cloud was exceptional - I really need to find bucket loads of it. -

I'm going to start making my way through this selection I picked up from Aldi during their craft beer week. First up, the Che Guava Radical Lager. Quite sweet and floral. Nice but I couldn't drink a lot of it. -
It was late afternoon and I only went into the shop. They had temperature checks at the entrance and the guy on the door said their capacity was slashed.

I visited Oban today. Nice of them to put the distillery in the town centre. It would almost be rude not to- I'll let you know my thoughts when I open it later.

And Jane Lewis is a Motherwell supporter. Obviously we need even more representation in the media. -
That's quite a selection you've got there. I don't have anywhere near enough space to even dream of a collection like that. As an aside, I watched a bit on the programme about the Torridon Hotel tonight and they had, at first glance, an amazing whisky bar. On closer inspection they appeared to be serving the foreign tourists things like Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold. I'm sure they had some incredible stuff but seemed to be bulking it out with stuff you'd pick up in the supermarkets for £20.

The Falkirk FC Thread
Archie McSquackle replied to Kris.'s topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
I'm not a Falkirk supporter but enjoyed that and he comes across really well. One point though, when you're talking about the historic jail I think you're mixing up Inverurie (in Aberdeenshire) with Inveraray (in Argyll). -

Currently enjoying a cask of Ghost Ship ale. Bit tricky to begin with but pouring really well now. -

He seemed to accept the Premiership is unlikely to want change but is interested in Aidrie's proposal for larger lower leagues. -

Yes and that's the point Findlay and Cameron were trying to make. They were never going to be able to agree any form of league reconstruction as the club's knew their final placing and therefore their position in any proposal. Self-interest would then scupper pretty much any proposal. There does appear to be an appetite amongst some for reconstruction but it needs to be proactive rather than reactive and be agreed for a year ahead. -

Findlay and Cameron did say they favoured reconstruction but this is the wrong time so perhaps there is a majority of clubs in favour of reconstruction. -
Orange Walk / Scottish Cricket thread

I wonder how many of these Scottish Protestants Against Discrimination are actually members of a church. I'm guessing none of them and the organisation is just a very thinly veiled way of coming out with some anti-Celtic/Catholic bigotry. -

Following recommendations and a discussion on here a few weeks ago (sorry, can't remember who it was) and popped into Fyne Ales yesterday and got my first mini-cask. Enjoyed it last night and will finish off tonight. Definitely different from the bottles and will probably try again next time I'm coming for a break up this way. -
Are Hearts fans taking it in turns every night to go over the same argument or is it the same guy using different names just to laugh at getting response? Maybe the OP could add the reasons why the season couldn't be finished to their post and the next bampot can be directed to it and save the thread from another night of pish. Who am I kidding? They're not going to listen to reason, are they?
